My name is Steven - and I am an 800-Hour Certified Jivamukti Yoga Teacher. I teach yoga in the lineage of Jivamukti Yoga: a strong asana practice underpinned by a compassionate and ethical lifestyle. As developed by Sharon Gannon and David Life, Jivamukti Yoga adheres to five central tenets:
Dhyana: Meditation: connecting to that eternal unchanging reality within.
Nada: The development of a sound body and mind through deep listening; can be incorporated in a class using recorded music, spoken word, silence or even the teacherβs voice.
Shastra: Study of the ancient yogic teachings, including Sanskrit chanting, drawn from the Focus of the Month.
Focus: Every month Jivamukti Open classes follow a theme drawn from the focus of the month. This theme inspires the class and may appear in the form of the asana sequence, chanting, teachings from yogic texts or other pillars of inspiration. (https://jivamuktiyoga.com/fotm/)

Jivamukti Yoga Classes
Jivamukti Yoga Open Class (90 Minutes)
An accessible Hatha-Vinyasa class which takes you deeper in your yoga practice. Classes flow through creative sequences with skilful hands-on-assists supported by pranayama, meditation, chanting, and deep relaxation.
Medium Class
Somewhere in the middle, the Medium class is taught in the Jivamukti style and is ideal for those who would like to spend more time breaking down asanas (postures) and refining their practice. There will be slightly more attention to detail than in an Open class, with a strong emphasis on balancing, inversions and practicing the most common Jivamukti sequences.
Jivamukti Yoga Fundamentals Class (90 Minutes)
Best for beginners or students wishing to refine their practice, students are taught βhow to doβ asanas through the use of props and partner exercises with a strong emphasis on alignment.
Week 1: Standing Asanas
Week 2: Forward Bending
Week 3: Back Bending
Week 4: βTurning It Upside Down and Putting It All Together'
Yin Yoga Class (75 Minutes)
A quiet, cooling, simple, non-muscular practice, where we hold postures longer (3-5 minutes) to stretch deeply into the body to reach the fascia, connective tissue, and gently open the joints. A great compliment to a regular yang practice.
