With the recent reports of a meningitis outbreak at the University of Kent, please take a moment to familiarise yourself with the symptoms.

They can include:
• High temperature
• Cold hands and feet
• Vomiting
• Confusion or unusual behaviour
• Fast breathing
• Muscle or joint aches
• Pale or blotchy skin, or a rash
• Stiff neck
• Sensitivity to bright light
• Excessive sleepiness or difficulty waking
• Seizures (fits)

⚠️ Meningitis is a medical emergency. If you or someone else develops any of these symptoms, call 999 or go to A&E immediately.

🚨 Remember: symptoms can appear in any order, and not everyone will experience all of them.
