***ACKNOWLEDGEMENT***
Joe McCloskey R.I.P.
We, the family of the late Joe McCloskey, would like to express our eternal thanks and gratitude to everyone who attended the wake and funeral to pay their respects following the loss of our beloved Joe.
We would like to thank our neighbours, family, and friends who surrounded us and Joe throughout his months of chemotherapy, his operation, and in his final days. A special thank you to his close friends for honouring and commemorating him with the national flag. We cannot thank everyone enough for the support and love shown to us during our most difficult moments. A special mention also goes to friends and workmates from St Gerard’s School who sent their love and support.
A huge thank you to all the staff in Level 5, Ward A of the RVH for the care they gave Joe during the days and weeks he spent in hospital. We would also like to express our sincere thanks to the paramedics, district nurses, and palliative care team who made Joe comfortable in his remaining days. They showed true compassion and care that we will never forget.
Thank you to Father McCullagh of St Agnes, who comforted us by calling to the house, for his prayers, and for celebrating such a beautiful Requiem Mass. Thank you also to Olive Keys for her beautiful singing.
From all our family, a heartfelt thank you to O’Neills Funeral Directors for their professionalism, support, and compassion, which guided us through such a difficult period. We cannot thank you enough.
Finally, thank you to everyone who loved and supported us during the most difficult time of losing our beloved Joe — a loving husband, father, father-in-law, brother, uncle, and grandad. He was the light of our family and is sorely missed every day.
