O'Neills Funeral Directors O'Neill's Funeral Directors is a family run business helping families across Ireland. With two funeral homes: 98 Stewartstown Road & 228 Falls Road Belfast.

We are an independently family owned funeral directors established in 1991. Our main aim is to alleviate the worry from the family, of arranging the funeral, and in order to carry out this we are available 24 hours a day, no answer machines or recorded messages, the personal touch every time. Unfortunately, most of us will be confronted with the task of arranging the funeral of a loved one, which, in the midst of grief, can be a daunting ordeal. Once our services are engaged, everything can be left in our care, giving peace of mind to you and dignity to the deceased. O’Neill’s Funeral Directors have a purpose built a Chapel of Rest incorporating Viewing Rooms and totally refurbished their existing premises, on the Stewartstown Road. In addition to this in 2023 we have just opened new additional premises at 228 Falls Road, again with viewing rooms for the convenience of families. They have on display a selection of headstones at their premises to complete their one stop facility of providing everything needed to arrange a funeral. The family of late Jean McAllister, would like to express our sincere thanks and heartfelt appreciation to everyone who supported us during our recent bereavement.

Thank you to all our relatives, friends, neighbours, and colleagues for your kindness, sympathy, prayers, messages, cards, flowers, and for attending the wake and funeral. Your support and compassion have been a great comfort to us at this very difficult time.

We would especially like to thank O’Neill’s Funeral Directors for their professionalism, care, and guidance throughout. For being there daily for our Mother and for us as a family we truly appreciate you all.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the district nurses, who attended to Our Mother in the week before her passing, for their exceptional kindness and support.

We also sincerely thank Cara McCann for providing such beautiful music, and Father Nadeesh and Deacon John Downey for celebrating the service and offering comfort and guidance to our family.

Paul passed away suddenly at home 30th January 2026. Much loved son of Mary and the late Paul. Cherished brother of Eamon, John, Martina and the late Charles. Late of 34 Woodbourne Court.

Joe McCloskey R.I.P.

We, the family of the late Joe McCloskey, would like to express our eternal thanks and gratitude to everyone who attended the wake and funeral to pay their respects following the loss of our beloved Joe.

We would like to thank our neighbours, family, and friends who surrounded us and Joe throughout his months of chemotherapy, his operation, and in his final days. A special thank you to his close friends for honouring and commemorating him with the national flag. We cannot thank everyone enough for the support and love shown to us during our most difficult moments. A special mention also goes to friends and workmates from St Gerard’s School who sent their love and support.


A huge thank you to all the staff in Level 5, Ward A of the RVH for the care they gave Joe during the days and weeks he spent in hospital. We would also like to express our sincere thanks to the paramedics, district nurses, and palliative care team who made Joe comfortable in his remaining days. They showed true compassion and care that we will never forget.


Thank you to Father McCullagh of St Agnes, who comforted us by calling to the house, for his prayers, and for celebrating such a beautiful Requiem Mass. Thank you also to Olive Keys for her beautiful singing.


From all our family, a heartfelt thank you to O’Neills Funeral Directors for their professionalism, support, and compassion, which guided us through such a difficult period. We cannot thank you enough.

Sharon passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family 30th January 2026. Dearly beloved wife of Michael, much loved mother of Michael and Niamh, daughter of John and Sally Pickering, daughter-in-law of Michael and Vera, loving sister of Stephen, Shauna Rose, John, Claire, Marian and Angela, devoted aunt to all her nieces and nephews.
