O'Neills Funeral Directors O'Neill's Funeral Directors is a family run business helping families across Ireland. With two funeral homes: 98 Stewartstown Road & 228 Falls Road Belfast.

We are an independently family owned funeral directors established in 1991. Our main aim is to alleviate the worry from the family, of arranging the funeral, and in order to carry out this we are available 24 hours a day, no answer machines or recorded messages, the personal touch every time. Unfortunately, most of us will be confronted with the task of arranging the funeral of a loved one, which,

in the midst of grief, can be a daunting ordeal. Once our services are engaged, everything can be left in our care, giving peace of mind to you and dignity to the deceased. O’Neill’s Funeral Directors have a purpose built a Chapel of Rest incorporating Viewing Rooms and totally refurbished their existing premises, on the Stewartstown Road. In addition to this in 2023 we have just opened new additional premises at 228 Falls Road, again with viewing rooms for the convenience of families. They have on display a selection of headstones at their premises to complete their one stop facility of providing everything needed to arrange a funeral. Since being established in 1991, O’Neill’s Funeral Directors – Independent family run firm have caringly helped many families through the process of dealing with the loss of a loved one. Roseleen Devlin (nee Reilly)

Roseleen passed away peacefully at home today, 3rd May 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Jim and much loved mother of Rosemary, Patricia, the late Pauline, Jim, Martin, Tony and Michael. Sister of Mena and sister in law of Norm in Canada. Dearly beloved mother in law, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. Sadly missed by all in her family circle.

Reposing at her home, 30 Mica Drive, Belfast on Tuesday and Wednesday from 12 noon to 8pm each day. On Thursday 7th May, house will be private prior to Requiem Mass at 1pm in St Paul's Church, Falls Road, Belfast. Burial afterwards in the City Cemetery.

The family are truly grateful to the carer's and medical staff of Connected Health, Belfast Trust and Marie Curie for the loving care and attention they showed to our mum over the past three years. You will always be in our thoughts and prayers.

Joanne Kelly R.I.P

Joanne passed suddenly at home on 29th April 2026. Dearly beloved daughter of Tom and Catherine. Cherished sister of Anna, Sinead, Jim, Catriona, Teresa, Danielle, Jolene and the late baby Stephen. Devoted mummy to Keelin, Kyle, Aaron and Mila.

Joanne’s remains will be reposing in her sister’s home 23 Dungloe Crescent from Friday evening, the family have requested privacy tonight and that the house remain strictly private. Those wishing to pay their respects can do so from Saturday.

Joanne’s remains will leave her sisters residence at 9.30am on Tuesday to arrive at St Oliver Plunkett Church for 10am Requiem Mass. Burial to follow in Milltown Cemetery.

Terence (Terry) Sharpe R.I.P.

Terry passed suddenly on holiday in Spain on 29th April 2026. Dearly beloved husband of the late Bridie and loving father of Terry, Joe and the late Frank. Much loved father in law of Anne and devoted granda to Terry and Charlotte.

Terry will be reposing in our Chapel of Rest (228 Falls Road Belfast BT12 6AH) from Wednesday 12noon for those wishing to pay their respects. Terry will leave our Chapel of Rest on Thursday evening at 5:30pm to arrive at St. Paul’s Church at 6pm. A Requiem Mass will take place on Friday at 10am. Burial to follow in Milltown Cemetery.

Terry will be loved and missed by his heartbroken sons, daughter in law, grandchildren and entire family circle.

Diarmuíd (Dermy) Morrison passed away 19th March 2026.

The family of the late Diarmuíd Morrison wish to express our sincere gratitude and thanks to all those who sympathised and supported us at the time of Diarmuíd’s passing.

Heartfelt thank you to all our extended family and many friends who called to the house. For the floral tributes, the notices, Cards and words of condolences via phone calls, Social Media we are truly grateful.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Hugh Patrick Smyth of 44 Fort Road, Belfast and formerly Dundalk, Co. Louth.
Beloved Hugh, strong to the very end, passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving family on the 25th April 2026.

He will be deeply missed and forever cherished by his adoring Marion, the McDowell, McGrath, Mulligan, Gallen and Smyth families and his many, many friends.

Hugh’s remains will leave his late residence at 9.30am on Wednesday to arrive at St Joseph’s Church, Hannahstown for 10.30am Requiem Mass. Cremation to follow at a later date.

Odhran Green R.I.P.

Odhran passed suddenly at home on 24th April 2026. Dearly beloved son of the late Dirbhe and cherished grandson of Maire. Loving partner of Niamh and devoted daddy to Patrick.

Odhran will be reposing at his late residence from Sunday and Monday at 12 noon to 8pm. On Monday house is strictly private from 8pm.
