Paul McGeown and Sean Skelton recently presented LLNI Chair Richard Buchanan with a cheque for an amazing £8,334!

They raised the money with their 'Roam around Rome' which saw them running the Rome Marathon earlier this year. Their donation will help us to continue to fund vital blood cancer research taking place in Northern Ireland.

A huge thank you to Paul, Sean and all their families and friends for the amazing support!

A huge thank you to Ballymena Academy who organised a colour run to raise funds for LLNI. The day was a great success and raised a wonderful £4,500 for local blood cancer research.

Well done and thank you to everyone who helped to organise the day and of course a huge thanks to all the pupils who made it so fun and memorable!

If you're interested in organising your own colour run to raise money be sure to get in touch for help and advice.

LLNI are delighted to announce an award of £103,563 from the Department of Health Cancer Charities Grant Scheme. This funding, provided by the DoH and Macmillan, will allow us to use our unique connection with researchers, clinicians and patients to provide support for patients with a blood cancer diagnosis, and their families through:

1. Awareness raising information which combines clinical information, research insights and lived experience.

2. Research with either patient involvement or taking steps toward clinical trials.

3. Patient wellbeing activities tailored for blood cancer patients.

We look forward to sharing more details of how this grant is being used to benefit local blood cancer patients.

We have over 100 people running to raise money for Leukaemia & Lymphoma NI. These amazing supporters have already raised over £40,000 for local blood cancer research.

If you're out and about on the course be sure to look out for the LLNI runners or why not come to our Cheer Station on the Ormeau Road and help us make some noise to spur the runners on!

Not long now until the Toubkal Trek Team take on their epic challenge in memory of Alison Williamson.

On 14th May 2026 this intrepid team, led by Barry Williamson, will set off on their climb of Mount Toubkal in Morocco. At 4,167m above sea level it's the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains.

The team are taking on this epic challenge to raise money for LLNI in memory of Alison who sadly passed away 10 years ago.

Thanks to support from some amazing local sponsors the team have already raised over £9,000 but they know with your help they can raise even more for local blood cancer research.
