Our Strabane fundraising branch will be holding their walk for Blood Cancer Awareness month tonight.

You can still sign up at the event, just head along to MKs Bar this evening to register for the walk which begins at 7pm.

Bring your family and friends (including the four legged ones) for a gentle walk to help raise awareness of blood cancer research in Northern Ireland.

Today is World Leukaemia Day and we're at Grand Central Station in Belfast throughout the day to help raise awareness of leukaemia and blood cancer in Northern Ireland.

If you're passing through the station be sure to come over and say hi!

First of the four amazing prizes for our Blood Cancer Awareness Month raffle is a vintage car experience along the Ireland TT route.

The lucky winner will take a drive back in time and enjoy being chauffeured round the famous Ireland Tourist Trophy (TT) route in an original rally car.

The experience is generously donated by Simon Thomas and is suitable for 3 passengers (2 in back seats should dress warmly!) Not suitable for small children.

We're delighted that this evening Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council will illuminate Lagan Valley Island and Union Bridge to mark the start of Blood Cancer Awareness Month.

LLNI Chair Richard Buchanan and Fundraising Manager Tanya Mayne met with Chair of Corporate Services, Cllr Brian Higginson to share some information on the symptoms of blood cancer.

Cllr Higginson, expressed his support saying: "Blood cancer touches so many lives here in Northern Ireland. By raising awareness, supporting vital research, and encouraging people to get involved, we can give hope to families affected and work towards a future with better treatments and outcomes for patients."

Be sure to look out for the illuminated landmarks tonight!
