🔎 What are skin tags – and when should you be thinking about removal?
Skin tags are small, benign growths that commonly appear in areas where skin folds – think neck, armpits, groin, under the breasts, or eyelids.
What do they look like?
They're typically flesh-coloured or slightly darker, soft and smooth (sometimes lightly wrinkled), and hang from the skin by a thin stalk called a peduncle. Most are completely harmless and painless.
When might removal make sense?
Consider removal if a skin tag is:
🔹Being irritated by clothing or jewellery
🔹In a visible area that affects your confidence
🔹Showing any changes in size, colour, or bleeding (always see a dermatologist if this happens)
