Half-term is a great time to pause and check in on how young people are really doing.
Changes in routine can bring rest, but also stress, anxiety, or low mood.

Our latest blog shares simple ways parents, carers, and teachers can support young people’s mental wellbeing and know when extra help might be needed.

ā€œLived experience is key to this culture change, because we are the experts.ā€ – Teresa, carer and member of our Client Engagement Group

At MindWise, we believe the voices of those with lived experience must be at the heart of everything we do. It’s not just something we say, it shapes every decision we make.

As we begin to develop our next strategy for 2026–2031, this commitment continues. By listening, learning, and working side by side with people who know what it means to live with mental health challenges, we can make real and lasting change. 🌱

Together, we’re building a future where lived experience leads the way.

At MindWise, we believe that carers, service users, and people with lived experience must be at the heart of shaping mental health services.

This week, our Client Engagement Manager, Kirsten Kearney PhD, joined an inspiring panel exploring how co-production, user-led service design, and proper recognition of lived experience can create services that truly respond to people’s needs.

Collaboration across the sector, government, and business is crucial, even with funding pressures, we can drive change when we work together and listen to those who know best.

A huge thank you to Health Innovation Research Alliance Northern Ireland (HIRANI) and the Academy of Medical Sciences for hosting and creating spaces where these vital conversations can happen. šŸ’™
