The Chairman, Committee and Members of Mods & Sods Scooter Club are deeply saddened by the passing of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. 😢

We think of the Royal Family at their time of unbearable loss.

**CANCELLD***CANCELLED***CANCELLED***CANCELLED** To all, due to the recent outbreak of COVID-19, the Belfast Trust has informed us that group visits to all their sites including the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children have been cancelled with immediate effect. Regrettably and after much consideration we have decided to cancel this years Easter Egg Scooter Run in an effort to help minimise the spread of COVID-19. I'm sure most people would agree this is the right thing to do as we normally have upwards of 150 scooterists in attendance. No one really knows how this thing is going to escalate but the health and well being of all concerned is of the upmost importance. Thanks for your understanding ☹️

The members of Mods and Sods SC are saddened to hear of the passing of Thomas 'Tucker' Weir, father of our friend and club member Tommy Weller. Deepest sympathies to Tommy, Lynne, Michael, Paul and Stephen, and to the wider family circle. At peace x

On behalf of Mods & Sods SC, we wish to thank all the clubs and solo riders who attended the 22nd Belfast Easter Egg Scooter Run on Saturday. We had another great turnout this year with over 150 scooters, and lots of chocolate eggs collected which as usual will be handed out to the young patients on Good Friday. The total amount raised this year is £1650 which will be shared between A&E, the Haematology Unit, and Play Department. Special thanks to Alison Perry and the pupils from the Boys Model School who collected £400, to Colm Oates from The Garrick who donated £200, to George Hayes and Blades Social Club who donated £150, the Garrick Backbeats DJ team Sarge and John for donating their DJ fees, and to everyone who gave money through the sponsor forms and collection buckets.Your generosity is very much appreciated. Thanks also to Garrick Backbeats for hosting our after party and for everyone who attended. Hope to see you all again next year at Egg Run no.23!

On behalf of Mods & Sods SC, we wish to pass on our thanks to all the clubs and solo riders who attended the 21st Belfast Easter Egg Scooter Run. We had another great turnout this year, the sun shone, and the police did a magnificent job getting us through all the red lights and keeping us together in one group throughout the whole route. As usual all the chocolate eggs were given out to the children on Good Friday and there were more than enough to go around all the wards. The final total raised this year was £1650 which will go towards the work of the Children's Play Department at R.B.H.S.C. Special thanks to Alison Perry and the pupils from the Boys Model School who donated £700 from the proceeds of their 'models got talent' event, to Colm Oates from the Garrick Bar who donated £200, to the Garrick Backbeats DJ team Sarge, John and Marty for donating their DJ fees, and to everyone who donated through the sponsor forms and collection buckets. Your generosity is very much appreciated and we hope to see you all again next year at Egg Run no.22!
