Titanic Gentlemen’s Club - Men’s Group Men’s Group Dealing With Men’s Issues

17/01/2026

We talk a lot about gender inequality and that’s important!

But real equality means acknowledging all disparities, even the ones that don’t get much attention.

Men face serious disadvantages in several areas:

• Family courts still overwhelmingly favor mothers in custody decisions

• Fathers often lose meaningful access to their children after separation

• Men pay the vast majority of child support and face harsher enforcement

• Men die by su***de at much higher rates than women

• Male victims of abuse are less likely to be believed or supported

• Men receive longer criminal sentences for the same crimes

• Men make up most workplace deaths, homelessness, and violent crime victims

And yet
There is little to no public outcry from politicians or council members.
There are few targeted schemes to address these issues.
There is no coherent men’s policy in most governments.
There are no public consultations or meetings specifically called to address male disadvantage.

None of this erases the challenges women face.
But ignoring male suffering doesn’t create equality it deepens it!

If we want a fair society, we need systems that judge people as individuals, not stereotypes.
Caring about men’s issues isn’t anti-women.
It’s pro-human.

We can — and should — do better. 💪

🚨The latest figures for su***de among men in Northern Ireland over the past two years are heartbreaking.
Too many men are struggling in silence, and too many lives are being lost. 💔

If you’re reading this and things feel heavy right now, please know this: YOU ARE NOT ALONE!.
Our men’s group is here to listen, to support, and to stand alongside you without judgement.

It’s deeply frustrating that while this crisis continues, proper support and funding still isn’t reaching the men who need it most. Whether the money isn’t there, or it’s being spent in the wrong places, the reality is the same, men are falling through the cracks. 😔

We can’t fix everything, but we can show up for each other. If you’re struggling, reach out. If you’re doing okay, check in on a mate. Sometimes one conversation can save a life. 🛟

If you need immediate support:
📞 Lifeline (NI): 0808 808 8000 — 24/7 crisis support
📞 Samaritans: 116 123 — free, confidential, 24/7

🎄 Merry Christmas, Brothers 🎄

As Christmas almost arrives, we want to acknowledge every man in this group. This season can bring joy and connection, but it can also bring quiet struggles, exhaustion, or reflection. Wherever you’re at, physically or mentally, you’re welcome here.

We also remember our brother John Mark, who we lost to cancer. His journey reminds us how precious health is, how deeply illness affects not just the body but the mind and spirit, and how important it is to support one another through every battle.

John’s presence and memory remain with us, and we honour him by continuing to check in, speak up, and stand shoulder-to-shoulder as men.

This Christmas, take care of your body, protect your mental wellbeing, and don’t hesitate to reach out, here or beyond.

Wishing you all strength, peace, and connection this Christmas. 🎄🤍

💙 You’re Never alone. 💙

Ps We Miss You, Brother John Mark 😔❤️

🎄 Men’s Club – Last Night of the Year! 🎄

Tonight is our final men’s club session of the year, and we’re looking forward to a great evening together. Unfortunately, due to limited space, tonight will be regulars only, but we can’t wait to welcome everyone back with open arms in January. ✌️

We’ve got a Christmas chip supper, a wee present from Santa, and—no doubt—plenty of much-needed laughs, good company, a warm hug, and a strong handshake to end the year on a high. 🤝🎅✨

Thank you to all the lads for the banter, support, and friendship throughout 2025. Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas, and we’ll see you refreshed and ready in the New Year! 🎊💙🎊💚🎊

📣 Gents — This Wednesday is our last club meeting until Wednesday, 14th January 2026.

Before we wrap up for the year, I want to take a moment to look back at what an absolutely incredible journey it’s been.

From the brilliant nights in the club, the trips out, the two Amazing Mental Health Murals, fishing days, pool league battles, workshops, game nights, our summer and Halloween events, meeting the Lord Mayor Councillor Tracy Kelly Lord Mayor of Belfast and of course the club favourite Bingo nights, every moment has been filled with laughter, connection, and genuine brotherhood.

The support, love, and respect you show for one another (and for me) is something truly special. I couldn’t ask for a better group of men to share this path with.

It’ll be tough to beat the year we’ve just had… but next year, lads, we’re going bigger and better. This chapter has been amazing and the next one is only just beginning. 💪

Strength to strength. One day at a time. Helping ourselves and helping others along the way.

This year we also made new friends and connections with men’s groups right across Belfast and even Scotland — including Glenmachan Church Willowfield Church , G20 Youth, Diamond Geezers Ravenhill YM FC Glenbank Mens Group Clarawood Men’s Group, C.R.A.G, Connswater Men’s Shed, Mens Minds Matter NI, Building these relationships has been a huge highlight, and we look forward to growing them even more in 2026.

A massive thank you to all our sponsors, funders, and everyone who’s donated to this wonderful club. You’re a huge part of our success, and we hope you’ll continue with us into 2026. ❤️ East Belfast Community Development Agency Eastbelfast Working Mans Club Glentoran Homeless & Community Appeal Glentoran Hasan Cakir Scissor King Turkish Barbers Hot Towel Shave Cllr Davy Douglas DB Fitness Candy Row Torrie Laverty Soda Mark Magee Harrys Electrix, Belfast Electrician Louiseclare Carlin Carlie Martin

A very special thank you to Jim Bailey from EBCDA, not only for the financial support, but for the guidance, encouragement, and belief he’s shown in what we’re building here. Jim, your support has made a real difference, and we appreciate you more than words can say. 💙

Below is a few pictures of many memorable moments together this year of 2025! 🎊

Merry Christmas, ya bunch of fu***ng legends.
