The development of new medicines typically takes approximately 10 years and is a costly process. Once a new investigational medicine has had thorough testing in a laboratory, it progresses into clinical studies in humans. Celerion is focused on conducting these early stage clinical studies. Once these early stage studies have been completed and approved by regulatory agencies, the investigational medicinal product progresses into large scale patient studies that take several years to complete. Upon approval, these new medicines are launched to the market place. The name Celerion is derived from the Latin celeritas meaning swiftness and speed. This word reflects one of our founding principles: to deliver services that enable our clients to get products to market faster. For over 40 years Celerion has been committed to delivering on a high level of service for both our clients and to all participants in our clinical studies.
