Big shout out to my longest serving client.

Aaron’s achievements are too many to even write about but long story short is this -
He has completely changed his life.

Aaron’s went from no direction, constant winging it, feeling lonely in his training journey and lost to…

Being the leader of the group, the role model they all look up to.
He completed a photoshoot last year and now is on track for another one.

Aaron’s mindset and attitude is worth mirroring.

Nobody wants to talk about it, especially men.

But male loneliness is at an all time high:

1 in 5 men have no close friends, double the rate for women.

This is a real stat.

Finding your tribe isn’t easy but if you surround yourself with the wrong people you will feel lonelier than you would not be around anyone.

Don’t betray yourself to fit in.
Be yourself, build confidence in vulnerability and authenticity.

Are you aware?

When it comes to business, training & life I can be quite all systems go.
I don’t know my limits half the time, I just push and push until I crash.
Sometimes we need to realise that less is more

What I mean by that is this:

You won’t solve all your problems in one day.
Some days you’ll just not solve any.
But on the days where you don’t have the brain capacity or energy to solve problems here’s my advice.

1. Just don’t make it worse - don’t go out drinking, don’t make emotional decisions, don’t lash out, don’t break anything.
Some days are just about “getting through the day without making it worse”

2. Daily rituals
Walk, journal, drink water, eat good food, sleep well & do something nice for yourself and others.

3. Practise gratitude
There’s so much to be grateful for. Life isn’t that bad. We aren’t living in a war zone, we aren’t starving to death, we aren’t under immediate threat of death.
We just didn’t get our to do list finished…

Don’t be fooled by packaging.

Foods like this will lead you to think you’re making a smart choice but in the long run will stall progress especially when it comes to training for a better physique.

You will save so much money and confusion if you simply made natural oats and added your own protein.

Now you’re probably thinking
“F**k same tiarnan is it really that bad”

The issue is this isn’t the only food that’s been claimed as “high protein” or “healthy”
These foods are designed with added sugar and ingredients that in the long run will just stall progress and leave you wondering why you’re not getting results.

Simple swaps that will save you hassle.

Stop wasting your money on gimmicks and “easy foods”

I agree it’s great to have convenience but at what cost?

Make sure the foods you eat are
1. A whole source of protein, carbs or fats
2. Natural to some degree
3. Don’t completely waste your calories for the day, volume is key, get the most out of the food you have especially when on a fat loss journey

I have been fooled many times by products like this thinking “why would I add protein to my oats when I can just buy this”

What they fail to show you is the added sugar content and other ingredients that just completely wreck your progress over time.

The past week.

Lots of training, lots of walks, lots of work.

Started with the freedom event at the to speak about to a group of great people who were very interested in the project. Mostly women in the room but the message landed very clear, they know how much this is needed.

Went for a few runs, a boxing session, some BJJ also my new venture with & some lifting (failed to get any videos this week, super busy)

Finding peace in the noise is neccesary.
When life gets chaotic a simple outdoors walk, training session or run is my new escape.
Time for reflection, to unwind, to just escape the busy-ness.

That’s why training is so important, it’s not just a tool for progress, it’s an escape from “the noise” of life.
Some people drink, some party, some get out of it, I lift run or move.

Winter arc season is approaching fast.
Summers over.
It’s time to face the music.
During summer did you feel like you weren’t as in shape as you’d like to be, maybe you struggled fitness wise & just couldn’t find the confidence to ask for help.

Previously…

2x Runs a week
Both treadmill this week simply due to lack of organisation to get out but no excuses fitting it in when I can

Aim to build up my 5ks then progress forward for longer runs

Lifting strength is solid
3-4x a week
Push/pull/legs/upper
Recoverable and manageable time wise

Fatigue is a massive factor when it comes to being “hybrid”
Lifting and running paired isn’t always a great combo but managed correctly can have IMMENSE benefits.

This is what I promote to my clients
Get fit, strong & fast
Be hard to kill

That’s what you train for
