Every pound you raise helps us deliver emotional, practical, and financial support to heart families, from the moment of diagnosis, through treatment, and long after.

❤️ Whether it’s providing a place to stay at Clark Clinic, funding travel for vital appointments, or helping relieve some anxiety that families face during difficult moments, your generosity makes a real and lasting difference.

In 2024, 502 people from across Northern Ireland came together to take part in our much-loved seasonal Family Fun Days and what a year it was! ☀️

These events are so much more than just a chance to get out of the house. They are safe, welcoming spaces where children and young people with heart conditions can be themselves, connect with others, and enjoy moments of joy and play, often in ways that hospital settings don’t allow.

Our Family Fun Days provide:

✅ A break from appointments, surgeries, and worry
✅ Opportunities to build friendships with other heart families
✅ Safe, inclusive activities for all ages and abilities
✅ A sense of community and understanding that means everything

From the Easter bunny and summer picnics to arts and crafts and magical Christmas gatherings, we’ve loved seeing families laugh, bond, and simply be together. For many, these days become cherished memories, a reminder that they are not alone on this journey. 🎨❤️

“CHT always give amazing family days for our heart warriors and opportunities for parents to support each other. These events are very important. Siblings really enjoy them, and an event is something to really look forward to and remember.” Heart Parent

Here at CHT, we understand summer holidays can be a time of joy, adventure and quality family moments, but it can also bring stress, overwhelm and pressure for both children and parents.

Whether it’s keeping the kids entertained, managing routines, or juggling work and childcare, it's okay to find it hard sometimes. Prioritising mental health is just as important as planning the next day out.

As our incredible partnership with the Belfast Giants comes to an end, we are thrilled to announce £22,268.30 was raised throughout the season in support of Children’s Heartbeat Trust! 🏒❤️

Presented by David Goodwin, these incredible funds will go directly towards our vital work supporting children and young people living with congenital heart disease, as well as their families. This includes emotional and practical bedside support, counselling services, and financial help for families who must travel outside Northern Ireland for surgery or long-term treatment. Donations will also enhance the clinical environment in Clark Ward and Children's Heart Centre with initiatives like music therapy, baby massage, and sensory equipment.

Lynn Cowan, fundraising manager at Children's Heartbeat Trust, said: “We are sincerely grateful to The Odyssey Trust, the Belfast Giants and fans for their incredible support. This partnership has significantly raised awareness of Children’s Heartbeat Trust and the vital services we provide to children living with heart disease across Northern Ireland. In addition, thanks to generous charity collections, raffles, and the hugely popular Valentine’s Threads campaign, we’ve received phenomenal donations. These funds are essential in helping us continue supporting families when they need it most.

Standout moments include the special Valentine’s jersey, designed by our very own heart children, the Valentine's Game and of course our families Skating with the Giants!" 👕🧸

Laura Small, Relationship and Business Development Manager at The Odyssey Trust, said: “It has been an absolute privilege to partner with the Children’s Heart Trust this past season. Their dedication to supporting children and families affected by heart disease is truly inspiring, and we’re proud to have played a small part in raising both awareness and vital funds for their invaluable cause. This partnership has created unforgettable moments for everyone and involved, and we are deeply grateful to our fans and the wider community for embracing this imitative with such generosity and spirit.

Thank you for helping us make a real difference, on and off the ice.
