This is an exciting opportunity to make a real and lasting difference to young people with congenital heart disease and their siblings in helping to further enhance and develop our new youth programme.

The successful candidate will work as part of a small team, responsible for delivering our youth support programme, including organising and delivering regional events, residentials, workshops and outreach services.

By signing up to Mile a Day in May 2026🚶, you can help to support local children living with heart disease in Northern Ireland – just like little Ezra:

“Our little boy has complete AVSD and hypoplastic aortic arch and has just had surgery. We’ve been supported by Children’s Heartbeat Trust before he was even born, and it’s taken a massive weight off our shoulders.

Before his surgery, we decided to elope and get married with Ezra with us. Having him there as our best man meant everything.

We are excited as a family to take part in Mile A Day in May to give back and help other children and families in need of support.” The Copes Family

Join us and the Copes Family this May and make every step count. ❤🚶

Sign up today and secure your limited edition t-shirt before 30th March:

Does your child have anxiety around appointments? Our Play and Prepare Service can help ease their worries.

We know that some children can often feel worried, stressed and anxious attending hospital appointments or clinical interventions.

We can come to your home to help with the fears around appointments through age appropriate play based activities.

For more information or to book a home visit, contact Jennifer on jennifer@childrensheartbeattrust.org or call 074 1584 9565. ❤

Today on Mother's Day, we want to celebrate all of our wonderful mums, and we are also thinking of those who may be finding today difficult and missing someone very special. 💕

This week, we were delighted to deliver some gifts to Clark Clinic to mark the occasion. 🌸

Whether you're spending today in hospital or at home, we are sending a huge CHT hug to all of the heart mums we are so lucky to support and work with. 😍

Last month, we held our very first CHT STARS Parent and Family Day, and what a special day it was.

We brought together bereaved heart families from all over Northern Ireland to take part in fun activities, new experiences and have plenty of craic along the way!

Campbell College Belfast played host to the event where we were kept very busy with bouncy castles, craft activities, ride on animals, drumming workshops, petting farms, face painting and a very special guest, our friend Henry Wee Wheels and his fantastic Momager Sharon!

At the heart of the day was our Memory Tree, filled with beautiful messages dedicated to the Heart Warriors who brought us all together.❤

Thank you so much to all the families who came along, we loved seeing you all and are very much looking forward to our next CHT STARS (top secret) parent event!

If you are a bereaved heart family and would like to join our CHT STARS group, or would like to find out a little more about what the group offers, please get in touch with Cathy.
