Public-facing sites: be ready for what walks through the door

Gyms, reception areas, retail spaces, community venues. When you work with the public, you may be first on scene for anything from a slip to a medical emergency.

Emergency First Aid at Work Level 3 (EFAW) is tailored for low-risk workplaces and covers CPR, choking, bleeding and injury management. It supports staff to respond appropriately and provide safe immediate care until emergency services arrive.

If your team works across different shifts, EFAW can be arranged for evenings and weekends, helping you train staff without disrupting opening hours.

Warehouse and yard teams: first aid that matches the job πŸ‘·β€β™€οΈπŸ‘·β€β™‚οΈ

Warehouses and yards are hands-on environments. When something happens, teams need a calm, structured response that fits the workplace risks.

First Aid at Work Level 3 (FAW) is suitable for low to medium-risk workplaces and will be tailored to your specific workplace risks. It covers basic life support including CPR, bleeding, unconsciousness, choking, head injuries, sprains and strains and a wide range of first aid conditions you may experience in the workplace.

For teams who require First Aid at Work (FAW), this training can be delivered in the evenings or at weekends to help fit around shift patterns and operational demands.

If you are reviewing first aid provision for an operational site, FAW helps ensure your first aiders are prepared for the types of incidents that can occur day to day.

A strong option for workplaces that want staff to feel steady and prepared, with clear steps they can follow in the moment.

Kitchens move fast. First aid has to keep up

Hospitality teams work at pace, often in tight spaces, around heat, sharp tools and wet floors. Most incidents are minor. Some are not.

Emergency First Aid at Work Level 3 (EFAW) covers CPR, choking, bleeding and injury management and is tailored for low-risk workplaces. It supports staff to assess what is happening, take safe first steps, and communicate clearly while emergency services are on the way.

Need training outside standard hours? EFAW can be arranged for evenings and weekends, so teams can get the session done without disrupting service.

A practical fit for cafΓ©s, bars, restaurants, and venues where real-world response needs to be steady, not rushed.

Our Infection Prevention and Control training includes practical and theory learning for healthcare workers and supports the routines that reduce avoidable risk in day-to-day care.

A strong option for teams who want clarity on good practice and consistency across shifts.

Office first aid that fits the day 🏒

Most offices are not high risk. Incidents still happen.

A colleague collapses, someone chokes at lunch, a fall in the corridor. In those first few minutes, a calm, structured response matters.

Emergency First Aid at Work Level 3 (EFAW) is designed for low-risk workplaces and covers essential first aid skills including CPR, choking, bleeding and injury management. It is practical training that helps teams respond appropriately and support someone safely until professional help arrives.

We can schedule EFAW delivery in the evenings and at weekends to suit your team.

If you are reviewing first aid cover for the year ahead, EFAW is a sensible starting point for office-based teams.

First aid skills that hold up under pressure

When something goes wrong at work, clear thinking and practical action make all the difference. Our Emergency First Aid at Work training gives teams the confidence to respond calmly in those first critical minutes while help is on the way.

Sessions focus on real situations your staff could face, including CPR and AED use, managing unconscious casualties, choking, bleeding control and common workplace injuries. Training is designed for low-risk workplaces and tailored to your environment, so the learning feels relevant and useful from the outset.

Delivered in small groups, the emphasis is on hands-on practice rather than theory, helping good habits form and stick. We can bring the training to your premises to keep disruption low, or welcome you to our Belfast centre.

A straightforward course that builds confidence, meets requirements and prepares your team to step in when it matters.

Set yourself up for safe and confident paediatric care in 2026

If you work with children, strong resuscitation skills make all the difference. Our Paediatric Immediate Life Support course helps healthcare professionals build calm, capable responses to paediatric emergencies, with a blended format that begins with eLearning and continues with a half day workshop on 20 February.

On the training day you will work through paediatric CPR and choking management, AED use and rhythm recognition, the ABCDE approach for children, airway management and suction, recognising medical emergencies, oxygen therapy and interpreting paediatric vital signs. The focus is always on practical repetition so your actions feel instinctive when they are needed most.

Your RCUK PILS manual will be posted to you two weeks before the course so you can familiarise yourself with the key content.

Start 2026 with the skills to support your youngest patients.

Start 2026 with stronger clinical confidence

A new year is the perfect time to refresh the skills that matter most. Our Immediate Life Support course blends pre-course eLearning with a focused half day of practical training on 15 January, giving healthcare staff the tools to respond calmly and effectively in a clinical emergency.

During the face to face session you will work through CPR and choking response, AED use, cardiac rhythm recognition, the ABCDE assessment, airway management with adjuncts and suction, oxygen therapy, vital signs and common medical emergencies. Every step is practised repeatedly using clinical equipment so you finish the session feeling steady and capable.

Your RCUK ILS manual will arrive by post ahead of the date, giving you time to review the core learning before you join us.

Start the year with skills you can rely on.
