We see the benefits to so many of our community that these vital organisations make and these cuts will impact many people from Black Moon and Black Box Projects. Lots of our clubbers, volunteers and some staff are enrolled in employment support services for people from the disabled community to make sure we are part of the world of work. Shocking news!!

🚨 Today the voluntary and community sector is taking action.

The UK Government’s decision to cut funding for programmes tackling economic inactivity by 64% will dismantle vital community services, put up to 400 jobs at risk and leave at least 11,000 people each year without the support they rely on.

This is a direct result of an unjust 70/30 capital-to-revenue split that does not reflect Northern Ireland’s needs and threatens proven, people-focused services that change lives.

NICVA and the Economic Inactivity Coalition are calling on the UK Government and the Northern Ireland Executive to:

• Reverse this damaging funding model
• Protect existing services through 2026/27
• Commit to genuine co-design and sustainable, people-centred funding

We need decision-makers and the media to see the real impact of this decision. Join us:
