Feeling stuck or overwhelmed? Remember, in the midst of darkness, thereโ€™s always a glimmer of hope.

This beautiful Orchid was a gift from a client to say thank you nearly 2 years ago. It boomed beautifully for over a year and then looked like it had died.

With hope we kept adding a little water to see what would happen. We came in this morning to this beautiful colour again.

Courage isn't the absence of fear, it's acting in spite of it.

Choosing to come to therapy is courage and therefore acting inspite of the fear.

One in 5 adults and one in 8 children in Northern Ireland, have a probable mental illness, according to the Mental Health in Northern Ireland Fundamental Facts report 2023.

๐ŸŒŸ Let's break the silence on mental health! The stigma surrounding mental health is a major obstacle to getting the support we need. It's time to change that. According to the 2021 NILT22 research update, attitudes are shifting, but there's still work to do:

๐Ÿ‘‰ 91% of respondents disagreed that seeking help for mental health issues is wrong.
๐Ÿ‘‰ 78% believe there's less stigma today about asking for help with mental health.
๐Ÿ‘‰ 74% recognize the link between social disadvantage and poor mental health.
๐Ÿ‘‰ And half of males and 40% of females struggle to open up about their feelings.

Let's keep talking, listening, and supporting each other. Together, we can break down barriers and make mental health support accessible for everyone. ๐Ÿ’™

Today, on World Autism Awareness Day, let's remember:
Autism isn't a disease to be "cured.

Each person with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is unique, and their journey is theirs alone.

In the UK alone, there are around 700,000 autistic individuals.

According to over 150,000 people are currently on the waiting list for assessment. 70% of autistic people experience mental health problems.

So, Let's foster understanding and support for their diverse needs.

With the right treatments and therapies, we can empower individuals on the spectrum to thrive and integrate autism into their lives in meaningful ways.
