Ebert (Portavogie) Died 24th October 2025, peacefully at hospital. Erwin, devoted husband of Joey (neé Smyth), dearly loved father of Katherine and Caroline, dear father-in-law of Mark, cherished grandfather of Madison, Faye and Paige and dear brother of Deirdre.
Requiem Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyphilip on Tuesday 28th October at 11am followed by burial in adjoining graveyard.
Family home strictly private. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Lovingly remembered and will be sadly missed by all his family and the family circle.

Dynes (Ardkeen) Died 24th October 2025, peacefully at her home. Brenda, devoted wife of John, loving mother of Gavin, cherished mother-in-law of Alanna and adored granny of Harry, Sienna and Johnny. Dearly loved daughter of Willie and the late Maureen Owens, godmother of Fiona and fondly remembered by her brother, sisters, brothers-in law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Brenda’s remains will be reposing in her home ‘Peeltown Lodge’, 17 Ballygelagh Road, BT22 1JQ from 10am on Saturday 25th October. Funeral will leave the family home on Monday 27th October at 11.15am to St. Patrick’s Church, Ballygalget for Requiem Mass at 12noon followed by burial in adjoining graveyard. Flowers welcome.

**Updated Arrangements** Maginnis (The Quarter, Cloughey) Died 22nd October 2025, peacefully at hospital. Francis, dearly loved son of the late Sarah and a cherished friend. Francis’s remains will be reposing in John Smith Funeral Home on Monday 27th October from 2pm-4pm. Funeral will pass his former residence (Quarter Road) on Tuesday 28th October at 1.45pm for Funeral Service in Christ Church, The Quarter at 2pm followed by burial in adjoining cemetery. Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by all his dear family, friends and neighbours. At Rest.

Thomas (Portaferry) Died 24th October 2025, peacefully at nursing home. Billy, beloved son of the late Hector and Annie, dearly loved brother of George, cherished twin brother of the late Betty and a dear uncle and great uncle.
Billy's remains will be reposing in John Smith Funeral Home on Saturday 25th October from 10am-2pm.
Funeral will leave the funeral home on Sunday 26th October at 10.30am to St. Patrick's Church, Ballyphilip for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by burial in adjoining graveyard.

HINDS, Oliver (Omagh and Ballygalget) Died 20th October, peacefully at his daughters residence, Belfast. A beloved husband, father, grandfather and respected doctor.
His remains will be reposing at John Smith Funeral Home, 89a High Street, Portaferry on Wednesday 22nd October from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. Funeral will leave the funeral home on Thursday 23rd October at 10.30am to St. Patrick’s Church, Ballygalget for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by burial in adjoining graveyard.

LIPFIRD, (Kircubbin). Died 15th October 2025, peacefully at his home. Seán, beloved husband of the late Maura, devoted father of Martin and Paul, dear brother-in-law of Patricia and Donna and a much loved uncle and great-uncle.
Seán’s remains will be reposing in John Smith Funeral Home on Thursday 16th Oct from 10am-12noon, 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm and on Friday 17th from 10am-12noon and 2pm-4pm.
Funeral will leave the funeral home on Friday 17th October at 4.20pm to St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, Nunsquarter to repose overnight. Requiem Mass on Saturday 18th at 10am followed by burial in Mount St. Joseph’s graveyard, Ballycranbeg.
