‼️PATIENT NOTICE ‼️

The computers and phone systems at the Belford Practice site are down, this has been reported with our IT helpdesk and an incident has been raised.

We have been informed this is an internet error so we are waiting for an update.

We currently can’t use our system at all, so if patients could ring back later in the day or contact our seahouses branch if it’s urgent that would be very much appreciated.

We will keep everyone updated when when hear from the help desk

Cervical Screening Update 🩷

From 1 July 2025, routine cervical screening intervals will be extended from 3 to 5 years for participants aged 25-49 who test negative after attending cervical screening on or after this date.

The NHS Cervical Screening Programme saves thousands of lives every year by checking for high-risk Human Papilloma Virus (hrHPV) which causes almost all cervical cancers.

DIGITAL INVITES 📱

The NHS Cervical Screening Programme has introduced digital invitations and reminders via the NHS App. This means quicker and more convenient access to cervical screening invites when screening is due. For those where a digital invitation isn’t possible, a letter will be posted as a backup. All invitations will guide participants to book appointments in the usual way. We would encourage everyone to download the NHS App and enable notifications.

Booking telephone appointments online ☎️

If booking GP telephone call via the NHS App or Systmonline your call back could be at any time between 9am-12pm (morning call) and 2pm and 6pm (afternoon call) If there is a specific time that you cannot take a call please write this on the appointment message.

There is a notification of this when you book via Systmonline but unfortunately we cannot add this to the NHS App.
