Let’s be honest - no one wants to live off Tupperware forever.

Eating out is part of life - whether it’s a work lunch, a night out, or you’ve just forgotten to meal prep.

The good news?

You can absolutely stay on track with keto without being that person ordering 'a lettuce leaf and water'.

Here’s how to navigate some of the UK’s most popular spots and still leave feeling satisfied, not sabotaged.

Oh an I've got together a list of keto friendly menu items at popular UK restaurants like Nandos, Wetherspoons and Pret. Comment MENU and I'll send it over!

Cravings are not a personal failure.

They’re not a sign you’ve “fallen off the wagon.”

They’re your body waving a little flag saying, “Hey… something’s off.”

Here’s what your cravings might really be trying to tell you:

💭 You’re not eating enough protein.
If your meals are mostly carbs or light snacks, your blood sugar spikes then plummets - leaving you rummaging through the cupboards an hour later. Add a solid protein source to each meal (think eggs, chicken, Greek yoghurt, tofu) and notice how the urge to snack quietly fades.

💭 Your blood sugar is crashing.
That “hangry” feeling mid-afternoon? It’s not lack of willpower - it’s your blood sugar bottoming out. Try balancing your meals with protein, fibre, and healthy fats to keep your energy steady and your cravings calm.

💭 You’re emotionally drained.
Cravings often hit hardest when you’re stressed, tired, or overwhelmed. Your brain is craving comfort, not calories. Try a short walk, a cup of tea, or five minutes of quiet before you reach for food - sometimes that’s all your body was asking for.

Your cravings are clues, not criticism.

Listen to them, learn from them, and you’ll start to see your cravings reduce!

If "eat less, move more" actually worked, you wouldn't still be exhausted and starving at 3pm every day.

You've been riding sugar crashes for so long you think that's just how life feels now.

The constant hunger. The brain fog. The trying so bloody hard and getting nowhere.

And every time another diet fails, you blame your willpower instead of questioning the advice itself.

Say it with me: your. body. doesn't. need. more. discipline. or. restriction.

It needs you to understand what's actually happening metabolically.

The insulin spikes. The cortisol. The hormones that shift every week and demand different things from you.

Once you get that? Everything changes.

No more Monday morning fresh starts that die by Wednesday.

You'll enjoy food that works with your body instead of against it.

Let me guess…

You’ve done all the “right” things.

Cut carbs (sort of). Swapped your toast for yoghurt. Joined a gym.

You even tried the app where you scan barcodes in the supermarket and cry quietly in aisle 7.

And yet - nothing. It feels like a tumble w**d is drifting past your health and fitness plans.

Your energy’s tanked. Your sugar cravings are screaming. And you’re starting to wonder if your metabolism has just packed up and moved out.
It hasn’t.

You’re just stuck in a system that gives you terrible advice, especially if you’re a woman juggling work, stress, hormones, and three million tabs open in your brain.

So, with the stresses of modern life, is it really possible to make sustainable changes that last?

Yes. Yes it is.

Want to find out how? Come and join me tomorrow night for a relaxed, informal workshop with a live Q&A at the end!

I’m running a free online workshop next week called Intro to Keto: What You Really Need to Know. It’s for women who are feeling a bit stuck with energy, weight, cravings - all that fun midlife stuff -and are curious about whether keto might help.

There’s so much confusion out there, and honestly, most of it is nonsense. So I’m just going to explain what it actually is, how it works, and how to try it in a way that’s simple, realistic and safe. No pressure, no hard sell, just real food and honest answers.

If that sounds like something you’d be interested in - or if you know someone who’s feeling a bit “meh” and might benefit - come along or share it with them. Would be lovely to see some familiar faces too 🥰

It's on Tuesday evening at 7pm and the link to register is https://keto-culture.co.uk/ketoworkshopsignup

POV: You’re trying to eat healthy but the crisps and chocolate keep calling your name from the cupboard.

What do you do: A) Ignore. B) Eat 3. C) Binge and restart after the Bank Holiday? 😅

Snacking doesn't have to mean unhealthy choices, there are lots of Keto-friendly options...

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to be part of an insightful discussion at LPC alongside Dr Hayley Ponsford, where we focused on ARFID (Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder). It was a fantastic session, joined by esteemed colleagues, as we explored ways to introduce specialised ARFID treatment and support. Exciting steps ahead as we work together to support those with ARFID!
