🫶🏽Over time I’ve received some lovely feedback from people after breathwork sessions.

Everyone’s experience is different, but a common theme is the sense of release and lightness people feel afterwards.

Breathwork works with the body and nervous system, allowing emotions and tension that have been held for a long time to move through safely.

You don’t need to have the words for what you’re feeling.
You simply follow the breath and allow the process to unfold.

People sometimes imagine breathwork as something intense or overwhelming.

What matters far more is how safe the space feels.

The breathwork I facilitate is conscious connected breathing for emotional release. You are guided throughout with music, breath and instruction.

Even though you’re in a room with others, the experience is deeply personal. Nobody needs to know what’s coming up for you and there’s no pressure to talk about it.

You don’t have to find the words.
You simply follow the breath and allow your body to release what it’s ready to let go of.

And when it’s held well, that can be incredibly powerful.

💨Last week I was on the mat rather than holding the space.

🙌🏽 I attended a session with my teacher, Josh Connolly, in Birmingham and experienced his work in person for the first time.

I didn’t go in knowing what I needed that day I was happy to be there and I simply followed the guidance, the music, the rhythm of the breath and the visualisation.

By the end my body released what it had been holding onto. Tears, snot the lot . What stayed with me most was how safe it felt to be that vulnerable in the room.

That’s the power of this work when it’s held well.

🤗It was so lovely to meet other facilitators and members of Josh’s community, ( only normally see them on line in our monthly meet up) I got to speak with Josh, ask questions and continue my learning


🙏A big thank you as well to Lolly@the_zen_hen_medium_ and Sally who travelled with me for the evening, sharing the experience made it even more special.

😋 Us 3 finished the day with a meal at the beautiful (check it out), which was the perfect way to end after such a powerful session
