We’re proud to announce Belper District Community First Responders as our Charity of the Year 👏

Founded on 1st January 2025, this incredible team of eight local volunteers provides vital emergency medical support across Belper and the surrounding district. Trained and governed by East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS), they are often first on scene to 999 calls — delivering lifesaving care, reassurance, and support when it matters most.

With the NHS and ambulance services under increasing pressure and wait times so often in the spotlight, supporting a service that directly helps our local community felt like an obvious and important choice. From cardiac arrests and breathing difficulties to seizures, trauma, and falls, these responders make a real difference every single day.

As a self-funded group relying on grants and public donations, their work simply wouldn’t be possible without community support. We’re honoured to back a local service that truly saves lives 💙

If you’d like to support them too, you can contact Belper District CFR Group on Facebook or email enquiries.bdcfrs@gmail.com.
