Belper Robins — A Wonderful First Gathering

We’re delighted to share the success of our very first Belper Robins bereavement group, held today at The Tavern.

It was heartening to see local people come together — whether to share, support, or simply enjoy the sense of community.

A special thank you to Paul Wiggins’s for joining us and sharing his poetry, which touched us all.

We’re pleased to say that Belper Robins will now meet on the last Tuesday of every month, with our next gathering on Tuesday 29th July at The Tavern.

We look forward to welcoming both familiar and new faces as we continue to grow this supportive space.

Everyone is welcome.

Join the Belper Robins for Our First Event

We’re proud to be launching the Belper Robins, a new local bereavement support group, during Dying Matters Week — a national campaign that encourages all of us to talk more openly about death, dying, and grief.

🗓 Date: Tuesday 24th June 2025
🕥 Time: 10:30am – 12:00 Noon
📍 Venue: The Tavern, 11 Derby Road, Belper, Derbyshire, DE56 1UU

This group has been set up by Fiona and Mark from our Belper office, with the hope of creating a welcoming space for anyone who has experienced loss — no matter when or how it happened. Whether you’re recently bereaved or grieving someone from years ago, you are not alone.

By launching during Dying Matters Week, we want to break the silence that often surrounds grief. Talking about bereavement can feel difficult, but it can also be healing — and that’s what the Belper Robins is all about.

There’s no need to RSVP, but if you’d like to let us know you’re coming, feel free to call us on 01773 822059.

Come for a cuppa, a chat, and a chance to share — or just listen. We’re here for each other, because dying matters, and so does living well through loss.
