Today's the big day πŸ™‰

🧑 I've wanted to share this for a while now, but something has held me back. When it comes to my health, anything 'new' fills me with fear.

🧑 Today's the day that I am fitted with bilateral hearing aids. So I'm off to the hospital and feeling a mixture of hopeful and apprehensive

🧑 My autoimmune conditions have created horrific tinnitus, which is either a low bassy whooshing sound or a high-pitched squealing.

🧑 There's no guarantees that the hearing aids will negate the tinnitus, but it's worth a shot as it impacts my life in a negative way daily.

🧑 It impacts my emotional well-being and mental health too and I've had to do a lot of self reflection throughout this journey.

🧑 So I'm digging deep inside my mindfulness and breathwork practices, but I'd love it if anyone wanted to stop by to either;

⏸️ The time to pause is a space for reflection, perhaps journaling, to notice what's been going well for us emotionally and become aware of what has not.

▢️ The time for action is where we embark on practices that help us hold onto the positive and release the negative.

TRY THIS ℹ️

πŸ₯° Create an affirmation that centres the positive in the present tense. I.e. ,I deserve joy, and I discover it daily.' Then commit to repeating it daily. Try every time you go to the toilet doing 10 reps. Or every time you make a drink β˜•οΈ

🌬 Then, write a releasing statement and repeat this in a dedicated 5 minute mindfulness time on every exhale. 'I let go of ideas of unworthiness. ' In the bath, on the sofa,
In bed.....anywhere you can get 5-10 minutes alone πŸ˜”

Hello, fabulous folks πŸ˜€

πŸ’• Today, I wanted to keep things super simple and ask you to check in down in the comments with a little temperature check to see how life feels right now.

πŸ’• We'll is a simple scale of 1-10 with 1 being awful and 10 being the best life can get.

πŸ’• It's a useful practice for our brain to do a little check-in like this because it then shifts our thought processes to a place of reflection.

πŸ’• This reflective practice then means we're in a prime position to make small, incremental changes to improve our score and, ultimately, our satisfaction with how life feels.

πŸ’• Our emotional landscape needs regular self check ins so we can connect to what is working, what needs processing, and which tools and techniques we need to reach for in our whole-human health backpack.

You must take action 🌟 🀩

πŸ’›You've probably heard a lot about the law of attraction
Are you a fan?

πŸ’š I certainly am, but I'll admit there are times when I've questioned it.

🩡 What I've learned is that my actions are a huge part of the process. And when I am on top of those actions, my emotional well-being and health are in much better condition.

πŸ’œ Key things for me are movement out in nature, time spent alone, nutritious food, and quality sleep....if one if these is not in balance, then my vibration never gets above a 5.

🧑 Then there's clarity....be super crystal clear on what you want to manifest. Otherwise, it's going to fall short of happening fully.

🀎 The hardest one is letting go of a perceived timeline. Trust that it will happen when it's supposed to. I repeat,
'There is no what if, only what is'

2,4,6,8 what can we appreciate? 🌈

πŸ₯°This is just a simple reminder that when the πŸ’« seems like a far reach, you can fall back into the warm arms of appreciation

πŸ₯° We know that gratitude improves mental and emotional well-being. And if there's 1 thing I stand for unapologetically, it's supporting our mental and emotional well-being.

πŸ₯° I'm also a pragmatist, and there are times and sitting our lives where we just can not be grateful. In the wake of my dad's death, the trauma was so abhorrent that there was no way I was finding gratitude.

πŸ₯° However, I did find that if I took a more gentle approach, I could appreciate tiny things. The cup of tea being warm, the purring of my cat, the softness of my bed.

πŸ₯° I'd repeat in my head 2,4,6,8 what can I appreciate and I'd find something, however seemingly insignificant and it had the same boost (over time) as my regular gratitude practice.

🧑 It's just a little reframe that can really support your frame of mind when times seem hard. Because we all face dark days and difficult situations. And using this means we are always in a place of thankfulness which is what positively impacts our neuroplasticity. (It's absolutely paramount that your other emotions like anger, sadness, frustration, etc. live alongside this in their fulness....never suppress them, they can coexist)
