You don’t always need a full reset.

Sometimes you just need to step outside and look at the horizon.

Today’s walk reminded me how powerful that is.
When you’re in perimenopause or menopause, your world can start to feel small. Busy mind. Overwhelm. Poor sleep. Low mood.
Nature gently pulls you out of that.

🌿 Looking into the distance helps calm your nervous system

🌿 Natural light supports your sleep and energy

🌿 Fresh air and movement reduce stress and tension

🌿 Open space gives your mind room to breathe

Even 10 minutes can shift how you feel.
You don’t need a big plan.
Just step outside. Lift your gaze. Let your shoulders drop.
Let nature do some of the work for you.

Next time you feel wired, anxious or flat, try this:

Go outside, stand still, and spend a few minutes looking as far as you can. Notice what changes in your body.

We went on a little adventure today to Thor's Cave.

What started as “let’s just go for a nice walk” turned into a proper climb… steep paths, lots of steps, and a few moments where my legs were definitely questioning my life choices. 😅

But the weather was beautiful, the views were incredible, and the company… well… let’s just say there may have been a few cheeky bum grabs along the way… and more than a few stops for kisses. 💛

By the time we reached the cave we were a bit out of breath (for several reasons), but standing up there looking out over the valley felt pretty magical.

Fresh air, a bit of a challenge, and time with someone who makes even the uphill bits fun.

I say this all the time and that's because it's true - finding ways to nurture and regulate your nervous system is going to make all the difference in midlife to literally every aspect of life.

Days like this are my favourite. ✨

During perimenopause and menopause, our stress response can become more sensitive.

Natural sounds like birdsong and running water signal safety to the nervous system.

Safety reduces cortisol.

Lower cortisol = better sleep, mood, and clarity.

This is why I weave breathwork and grounding into everything I teach and why there's nothing a good walk in nature can't improve 🌳

Struggling with a bit of hip pain today ( I'm sure the perimenopausal ladies know this pain ) so we had just a 5 mile walk up to Bessalone woods and Nether Heage.
There's something magical about being in the woods just listening to the birds chattering away and even better to share it with a kindred spirit.
I'm seriously lucky to have such beautiful places to walk without even getting in the car.

Despite the bitter cold and wind today we still braved it for a 7.5 mile walk.
Stayed local in my beautiful hometown and walked along the river and up to the chevin and even found a rare breed of sheep - can't for the life of me remember what they were called 🙈

I have a whole week off work and despite the greyness of this time of year I fully intend to make the most of my time off.

I have 3 days off with the other half and we've committed to a long walk each day then I'm spending the rest of the week writing and filming for something very exciting 😬 watch this space.

Today was just one of those days where I was all up in my head overthinking and anxious but the sun had made a rare appearance and myself and the other half both had the day off so we got off out into the countryside for a few hours.

We all know about the benefits of being in nature but there's also a similar effect from being with the right people. People who make you feel safe, seen, grounded and cared for.

I can't even begin to tell you how amazing it is to be with someone who just gets me. Someone who knows when I need peace and space but for him to be close at the same time, someone who is comfortable in my silence and can just let me be until I'm ready to talk, share and laugh and not automatically assume I'm in a mood.

I get overstimulated and overwhelmed and if I don't get to withdraw from it all a little it turns into anxiety and insomnia which then affects my ability to regulate my moods and my thoughts and it all just becomes a vicious cycle.

I often wonder when my life became like this but the truth is that perimenopause never announced itself, it crept up stealthy and ninja like and hijacked me - body and mind.

If you can relate to that the biggest piece of advice I can give you is to learn how to nurture and regulate your nervous system because every single thing you're experiencing will benefit from it.

If you're not sure what that looks like or where to begin drop me a message and I'll be happy to point you in the right direction 💕

As we step into 2026, I want to gently remind you of this:

You don’t need to reinvent yourself.
You don’t need to hustle your way into a “better” version.
And you definitely don’t need to punish your body or mind to be worthy of change.

This year, I’m choosing movement that feels good,
a mindset rooted in compassion,
and a little magick - the kind that comes from listening to your intuition and honouring where you are right now.

If you’re making intentions or resolutions, let them be empowering, kind, and spacious.
Let them support your nervous system.
Let them work with your life, not against it.
Midlife isn’t a problem to fix.
It’s a powerful threshold.
And you get to cross it in your own time, in your own way.

Here’s to a year of steadiness, softness, strength, and subtle transformation 💪 🥰

📩 What if your overwhelm isn’t laziness?

Overwhelm can look like:

• Not opening the emails you meant to read
• Not posting the thing you wanted to share
• Avoiding the free challenge or class you were excited to sign up for
• Feeling stuck, frozen, or like you’re always behind

You’re not lazy. You’re not unmotivated. You’re not broken.
You’re human. And probably doing your best.

What if you didn’t need to push harder, but instead needed to pause, breathe, and gently begin again?

✨ That’s the kind of space I’m creating inside Menopause, Movement & Mindset Magick.
Because sometimes, a little support and softness is exactly what gets things moving again.

If it sounds like something you need, get on the wait list NOW to be first to find out all the details and bag yourself an amazing opening offer.

✨️Bonus - when you join the wait list you'll get a FREE 15 minute class to do immediately ( or whenever you feel up to it 😂)

Just comment " WAITLIST " or DM me and I'll send you the link or if you're not in the mood to people you'll find the link in my bio 🥰

My Story

Hi my name is Caroline and I am a 200hr registered yoga teacher.

As a life long sufferer of anxiety and depression I turned to yoga and was completely shocked by the positive effect the practice had on my mental health as well as my physical wellbeing. I very quickly knew I would like to become a yoga teacher so I could share all the benefits with others.

My classes are designed to help mobilise and strengthen the body whilst finding that inner calm and clarity we need in this stressful world. I prefer to teach smaller groups which I find enables me to give more attention to each student and really builds trust and confidence. I completely understand what it is like to feel daunted by a class setting (I've been there myself! ) and I try to promote a caring and nurturing environment for students whilst keeping the atmosphere relaxed and even fun! My classes are aimed at all abilities so beginners are always welcome, we all begin our journey somewhere and I look forward to sharing that journey with you 💛
