My son bought me this magical looking beverage for my birthday. It just sat around a few weeks. But lately I’ve been tired enough to trust something that looks like it belongs in a glitter factory ✨✨✨✨

Anyway. I made a cup.

First sip, I was like, “Hmm, okay.”
Second sip, “Wait… hang on.”
Third sip, I’m standing in my kitchen thinking, “Right. I’ve wasted enough of my life. Time to properly adult like adults do.”

It’s not that chaotic caffeine buzz either—you know, the one where your hands are shaking but your brain is still buffering. This is different. It’s like someone’s gently switched my brain back on and given it a little pat. Suddenly I can focus. Properly focus. I open my laptop and actually do the thing I meant to do, instead of wandering off to watch videos about people building cabins in the woods.

And the energy just… sits nicely. No drama. No spiral. Just a steady “yeah, you’ve got this” kind of feeling. I even start doing small, responsible things like replying to messages and putting stuff back where it belongs. Who is this person?

I’m not saying it’s magic… but I am saying I drank it and then willingly sorted out a drawer I’ve been ignoring since 2019.

So now it’s part of the routine. Wake up, feel a bit questionable, drink my slightly suspicious rainbow coffee, and slowly turn into someone who has their life together (or at least looks like they do for a few hours).

Honestly, I don’t ask too many questions. It works. That’s enough for me, so I thought I’d share it with you in case your looking for something that might give you a little boost 🤩👍👌🌈✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

A little reminder that every day is a new opportunity to change your habits. This week I’ve started walking immediately after eating. A gentle walk of anything between 10-30 minutes is proven to help the gut. I suffer from acid reflux and I’ve found that this is really helping me.
Have you made any small changes this week? ⁉️🙋‍♀️🙋🙋‍♂️

I’m sharing this recipe because I want to make it next week!
Why do I share recipes?… Because I truly believe that great mental health and great physical health go together! We are both mind and body. There’s so much research and evidence that our mental health can be improved by good nutrition.

If you're going to overthink, at least overthink all the
ways it could work out in your favor, the best case scenario, and every version of your life that turns out better than expected 😊

This captures how quietly demanding the word “should” can be. It slips into our thoughts disguised as motivation—telling us we should be better, further ahead, coping more gracefully—but often leaves behind a trail of self-criticism. Instead of encouraging growth, these inner rules can make us feel as though we’re constantly falling short of an invisible standard, one that rarely accounts for our real circumstances, struggles, or humanity.

What it gently points out is the emotional cost of living by these “shoulds.” They can replace self-compassion with shame, dismiss our feelings as invalid, and push us toward burnout in the name of doing more or being more. Over time, they amplify comparison and anxiety, making it harder to appreciate where we are. Letting go of “should” doesn’t mean giving up—it means making space for kinder, more honest self-talk that allows growth without punishment.

Together, in therapy we can explore your “shoulds” and reframe them into healthier alternatives 😊
