If you’ve heard of Belper Chiropractic you probably been to or been referred to Dr. Stav (drstav.com).
Another new chiropractor has opened up in the bank on King street and using my business name to enhance his own business which has only been running a month or so.
That clinic is not me. Please ask for Stav when booking in if you want to be treated by me.
In my opinion, careful of the person’s intention when they treat you. If I couldn’t trust someone, I wouldn’t let them near my neck!

Our Chiropractic clinics are committed to serving and helping anyone suffering from pain and discomfort. Spontaneous Evolution ~

Chapter 1 for FREE at www.brucelipton.com/books/spontaneous-evolution/excerpt/

Spontaneous remission: Every day, thousands of patients are told, “All the tests are back and the scans concur . . . I am sorry; there is nothing else we can do. It is time for you to go home and get your affairs in order because the end is near.” For most patients with terminal diseases, such as cancer, this is how their final act plays out. However, there are those with terminal illnesses who express a more unusual and happier option—spontaneous remission. One day they are terminally ill, the next day they are not. Unable to explain this puzzling yet recurrent reality, conventional doctors in such cases prefer to conclude that their diagnoses were simply incorrect—in spite of what the tests and scans revealed.

According to Dr. Lewis Mehl-Madrona, author of Coyote Medicine, spontaneous remission is often accompanied by a “change of story.” Many empower themselves with the intention that they—against all odds—are able to choose a different fate. Others simply let go of their old way of life with its inherent stresses, figuring they may as well relax and enjoy what time they have left. Somewhere in the act of fully living out their lives, their unattended diseases vanish. This is the ultimate example of the power of the placebo effect, where even taking a sugar pill is not needed!

Now here’s an utterly crazy idea. Instead of investing all of our money into the search for elusive cancer-prevention genes and what are perceived to be magic bullets that cure without the downside of harmful side effects, wouldn’t it make sense to also dedicate serious effort to research the phenomenon of spontaneous remission and other dramatic, non-invasive medical reversals associated with the placebo effect? But because pharmaceutical companies haven’t come up with a way to package or affix a price tag to placebo-mediated healing, they have no motivation to study this innate healing mechanism.

It's not that another chiropractic clinic has opened in Belper; my issue is that the clinic took the name I use, intending to piggyback off my clinic name.
Patients now have to be directed to go to Dr. Stav's location.

There has been a case of mistaken id concerning my clinic. Unfortunately, a new high street chiropractor has moved into Belper and is using the name of my clinic, albeit with a slight alteration.
Please ask for Dr. Stav or Stav when looking for me particularly, as using an established business name can cause huge issues, as you can imagine.

Unscrupulous Business Practises

Please be advised that my business name has been hijacked in a very conniving way.

Stav Mihaletos (Doctor of Chiropractic) has been working out of BELPER since 2012.

Belper Chiropractic Centre (drstav.com) has been operating in Belper since 2017.
It has come to my attention that another chiropractor has moved into the bank in King street and is using Belper Chiropractic Health Centre as his name.

I love chiropractors and the profession. However, such back handed business practises only go to show the real intention of some people.

Nothing we can do about greed, but it’s good to bear in mind that BELPER Chiropractic is in no way affiliated to Belper Health Chiropractic Centre (their big sign reads: “Belper Chiropractor”).

If you would prefer to see me directly or refer someone to me, please ask for Stav (STAVROS) if you call 07538991148.

So ridiculous I should have to post this, but so it is.

Busting some sugar myths

Myth: Natural sugars are better than added sugars.

Fact: While natural sugars in fruits are accompanied by fibre and nutrients, our bodies still metabolise them as sugar. Too much of any sugar can lead to health issues and blood sugar imbalances. Does it mean that we should not eat fruits? No, fruits are valuable foods which contain lots of fibre, vitamins and minerals. Fruit is a good option as a snack. To prevent blood sugar spikes, specifically if you struggle with blood sugar control it is recommended to consume fruits in combination with a small amount of fat such as a few nuts or a small piece of cheese.

Myth: Sugar-free products are always a healthy choice.

Fact: Sugar-free doesn't mean healthy. Some products replace sugar with artificial sweeteners, which come with their own set of concerns. Opt for whole foods and homemade treats instead.

Do you want to know more?? From 19 January to 1 February, we are inviting you to join a Sugar Free challenge where Karolina, our BANT registered nutritionist will help you to understand how sugar affects your health and what you can do to reduce it. The challenge is free and the only thing you need to do is to join the Sugar Free with Karolina in January 2025 Facebook Group. Just click https://www.facebook.com/groups/562630613228591 to join!

Craving a chocolatey treat?

Creamy Chocolate Avocado Smoothie

This delightful avocado smoothie is one of Karolina's go-to recipes. Packed with healthy fats, magnesium, fibre, polyphenols, and flavonoids, it’s a guilt-free indulgence. Perfect for a breakfast boost or as a snack during your sugar-free challenge!

Ingredients:

1 small ripe avocado
2 medjool dates (use 3 if you prefer it sweeter)
1–2 heaped tablespoons of good-quality pure cacao powder (add a touch more if the smoothie tastes too much like avocado)
1 teaspoon of cacao nibs
Cold water (adjust to reach your desired consistency)
A handful of fresh blueberries for garnish
Method:

Scoop the avocado, add the cacao powder, pitted dates, and a splash of water into a high-powered blender.
Blend until smooth, gradually adding water until the smoothie reaches your preferred thickness. Note: When blended, avocado naturally creates a mousse-like texture, resulting in a thicker smoothie.
If your blender can handle it, toss in an ice cube to make the smoothie lighter and slightly chilled.
Stir in the cacao nibs once the desired consistency is achieved.
Pour into a glass and garnish with fresh blueberries.
Enjoy this wholesome, sugar-free treat!

More recipe tips like this will be shared with you during our Sugar Free Challenge weeks between 19 January to 2 February. What do you need to do to join our sugar free challenge?
