The next session of Derbyshire Dialogue will take place on 18 March, on the subject of Men’s Sexual Health in Derby.

This session will share key findings from our community-led Men’s Sexual Health engagement across Derby, highlighting lived experiences, barriers to access and inequalities affecting men. We will also discuss recommendations and opportunities to improve awareness, access and outcomes for men’s sexual health locally.

Although this seems gender specific, this affects everyone, so all are encouraged to attend.

Children under 6 are now being offered the MMRV vaccine instead of MMR as part of the NHS routine childhood vaccination programme.

This replaces the existing MMR vaccine and adds protection against chickenpox, alongside measles, mumps and rubella.

You don’t need to do anything — your GP will contact you when your child is due.

🔵 DNA Appointments 🔵

During February there have been 107 missed appointments. You will receive a text reminder which also includes a link to cancel your appointment. If you have opted out of the text messaging service, it is really important that you contact the surgery if you are no longer able to attend appointments so we can utilise this for another patient who may need it.

We understand that things happen and people sometimes forget or are unable to attend. However, repeatedly missing appointments without telling us has a serious impact on access for other patients and on practice workload.

We monitor frequent DNAs . Patients who repeatedly miss appointments without notice , despite reminders and warnings, may be asked to register with another GP practice due to the breakdown in the doctor–patient relationship. By cancelling in good time, you help us offer that appointment to another patient and support safer, more timely care for everyone. Thank you for your cooperation.
