One of our amazing volunteers, Ian helped our admin manager, Della this week. He did a great job and we are all very grateful for his company and time.

At Milford House, volunteers don’t just give their time — they give moments of comfort, laughter, and belonging. Every visit reminds our residents that they matter, their stories matter. Our volunteers bring spiritual enrichment, relaxation and movement in the form of Yoga, joy and skills in the knitter natter group and always friendship and companionship we are grateful to all our volunteers x 🩷🏡

We had such a wonderful afternoon here at Milford today! 🎶

A huge thank you to the ever so fantastic swing singer John for coming in and treating everyone to a brilliant performance. Singing classic songs from Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and Matt Monro, he had everyone smiling, singing along, and even dancing! 💃🕺

It was a truly special afternoon filled with nostalgia, music, and joy. Moments like these mean so much to our residents and staff alike.

Thank you again, John — we can’t wait to welcome you back soon! ❤️ 🎤

Our wonderful Home Manager, Nic, has been keeping very busy lately 🌱

She’s been lovingly sowing and growing her own seeds, and we’re excited to share that we now have a beautiful little plant stall set up by the entrance to the home 🌼

All plants have been grown with care, and every donation made will go directly towards our Residents’ Fund – helping us create more special moments and activities for those who live here 💚

🥤🍓 Nutrition & Hydration Week! 💧🍌

Today we kick started Nutrition & Hydration Week 2026 by making some delicious, healthy smoothies! Everyone got involved choosing fruits, blending ingredients, and of course tasting the finished drinks. It was a great way to talk about the importance of staying hydrated and enjoying nutritious foods that keep our bodies feeling good.

There were lots of smiles, colourful fruits, and some very tasty creations! 🍓🍍🍌

A fun and refreshing activity enjoyed by all. 💚

Such a treat of a day ! Today we held our annual Mother's pampering day and photo shoot 😊
Our ladies enjoyed a lovely morning having their hair done by Sally & Nicole , and their makeup done by Becky all three ladies gave their time for free to make all our ladies feel extra special... in the afternoon our dear friend Derbyshire Wedding Photographers Dickon Clark took every ladies photo , it was lovely to see so many loved ones come too to share the special moment and create a lasting memory 🥰💐🩷you will have to wait til Mothering Sunday for the photos but here's a taster of our wonderful day .
