Afternoon Tea Club was a fairly quiet one this month. January has brought cold, wet & windy weather along with various germs and illnesses🥺

Nevertheless, we had a fun afternoon doing wordsearches and playing games.

Next month is our Valentine's themed Tea Club and we have crafts and the wonderful Dave on the Saxophone entertaining us 😍

We are thinking ahead to warmer weather, I am pretty sure my toes have frozen off inside my boots this morning 🤣

Sunday 12th July sees our fourth Independent Living Show! This year we will be at the Isle of Wight Steam Railway - a fantastic nostalgic venue.
Bringing together businesses, services & charities with information and support to aid living independently at home. Food delivery, home improvements, pet care, finance guidance plus lots more.
Along with steam trains, museums and a full days fun in one! Free entry, plus discounted steam train travel too!
Also, we have Southern Vectis - the island's buses providing bus travel to the show from Newport (and back) 😊

We are looking for more fabulous Exhibitors to join us. We have some great stall holders signed up and it's set to be a brilliant day.

Right at Home Isle of Wight is looking for a someone to join a small team dedicated to support one client based in the Wootton area of the Isle of Wight. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a close team, focusing on providing the best possible support for our client.

What will you be doing?
• Working as part of a close team
• Motivating our client to get the most out of their day
• Personal care (assistance with washing, toileting and personal hygiene)
• Administering medication
• Preparing nutritious meals and feeding assistance
• Supporting with physio and hydrotherapy sessions
• Light housekeeping
• Taking our client for appointments or outings

What do you need?
• Be available for a variety of shifts. Day shifts 07:45 – 20:00 and waking and/or sleeping night shifts from 19:45 – 08:00.
• Must hold a full and valid UK or EU/EEA driving license and have access to own vehicle
• Have the Right to Work in the UK
• Be a reliable team player with a caring and positive attitude

If you have experience as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, Carer, HCA, Health Care Assistant or in the NHS we would love to hear from you. However, if you don’t have experience, we provide full training and induction to help you feel comfortable in your new career. We have welcomed Carers from all sectors including retail sales assistants, customer service, hairdressers/beauticians, administrators, cleaners, warehouse workers and delivery drivers. This could be the start of your new career in care!
