Our residents had a fantastic time getting creative with pumpkin carving and design! What started as a fun activity quickly turned just a little bit competitive and the results were brilliant. 😄

Most importantly, it brought everyone together socially, with plenty of laughter and teamwork along the way.

We had Halloween parties across all units at Godden Lodge, and what a fantastic celebration it was! Residents, families, and friends enjoyed live entertainment, with a singer performing on each unit, plus a delicious buffet and drinks for everyone. 👻🎶

We also welcomed some adorable little visitors in their Halloween costumes, and residents and colleagues loved handing out sweets. 🍬🧡

We were delighted to welcome the Purfleet Heritage & Military Centre, who brought along a wonderful collection of vintage toys from the 1930s through to the 1960s!

Our residents absolutely loved the visit, many recognised the toys and shared fond memories of receiving similar ones as children, especially at Christmas time. 🎁
The atmosphere was filled with laughter, nostalgia, and lots of storytelling, and even after our guests had left, conversations about the afternoon continued! 💜

We’re so delighted to celebrate Roy and Christine’s 70th Wedding Anniversary, an incredible story of lifelong love and devotion. 💜

The couple first met when they were just 11 years old, growing up around the corner from each other. After a brief time apart when Christine went to Grammar School, they found their way back together. Before joining the army, Roy wanted to marry Christine but she chose to wait until she turned 21. And that’s exactly what they did! 💕

Seventy years later, they’re still as happy and devoted as ever. What a beautiful reminder that true love really does stand the test of time. 💐

Cheese and Wine Tasting at Godden Lodge!
Every month, we host a delightful Cheese and Wine Tasting afternoon across all our Community Units, and our residents absolutely love it!
Residents don't just enjoy sampling the different cheeses and wines - they also get to rate each one out of 10, making it a fun and interactive experience. We make sure everyone can participate by offering non-alcoholic wine for residents who can't drink alcohol.
It's wonderful to see everyone socializing, trying new flavours, and sharing their opinions.
These monthly tastings have become a favourite event that everyone looks forward to!🧡🧡
