🌟 Taking Health Coaching to the Next Level: Becoming an Associate Health Coaching Trainer 🌟

I'm thrilled to announce that this week I've started an intensive training program to become an Associate Health Coaching Trainer with a nationally leading provider!

This incredible journey has been an eye-opener and has equipped me with the skills to deliver personalized health coaching courses that align with NHS frameworks.

📚 Why This Training?: What makes this training exceptional is its dual focus—clinical experience from NHS leaders and educational leadership from a seasoned education director. This ensures a high-quality, clinically-informed approach to health coaching.

🤝 Collaboration is Essential: One fascinating aspect is the dual-trainer approach, which adds a layer of diversity and comprehensive coverage to each training session. This collaborative method ensures that participants receive a balanced and well-rounded experience.

💡 Personalized Care: I'm proud to be part of an initiative that has earned Personalised Care Institute Accreditation for its flagship 2-Day and 4-Day health coaching courses!

🌟 I wholeheartedly believe that a person-centered approach is the future of healthcare. That's why I'd love to see all health professionals undergo health coaching training. It's more than just a role; it's a mindset that empowers both practitioners and patients alike.

🤔 Have you experienced the benefits of health coaching, either as a coach or a participant? I'd love to hear your stories and insights!

Benefits of Pregnancy Massage⁣

It was once perceived as a form of alternative therapy, however it has become an increasingly popular way for women to reduce pregnancy discomfort. ⁣

There are a number of health benefits obstetric massage can bring. Some of these health benefits include the following:⁣

Lowers stress and anxiety levels:⁣

Cortisol is referred to as the stress hormone. When a pregnant woman is introduced to massage therapy as part of prenatal care, the level of cortisol in her body is reduced significantly. This lets her experience good hormones that have been known to improve mood, vitality, and immunity.⁣

Alleviates muscle pain and cramps:⁣

Pregnant women also commonly experience muscle pain and cramps. These discomforts usually occur due to muscular tension and heightened motor neuron activity. With the help of a specialist experienced in pregnancy massage, these can be greatly reduced. ⁣

Reduces nerve pain:⁣

A number of women experience sciatic nerve pain, especially in the late stages of their pregnancy. This is because their uterus rests on the muscles in the lower back and pelvic floor. When this happens, the pressure extends tension to the upper and lower leg muscles which result in swelling in these areas. Thanks to pregnancy massages, mothers are able to get the help they need in releasing the tension they feel in nearby muscles. Through massage, women get to experience less sciatic nerve pain throughout their pregnancy.⁣

Reduces the baby's stress hormones:⁣

Apart from helping the pregnant mother, massage also lowers the stress hormones in the baby. Research has shown that massage plays a vital factor in raising the baby's cortisol levels even if they are still inside their mother's womb. Because of this, it is safe to say that mothers aren't the only ones who receive the health benefits of pregnancy massage.⁣

Don’t forget, this is YOU time! During the massage you get to relax, invest in your body and take care of your needs! ⁣

You also get to practice deep breathing for birth preparation. ⁣

Have you had a pregnancy massage before? Do you struggle with any of the above if you are currently pregnant?⁣

Do you have anyone near you that suffers from chronic pain and illness? ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Did this happen gradually? Was it always there? ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Imagine excruciating pain day in and day out. You don't have to. But if you have someone near you, imagine. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Imagine losing control over your body and mind because it is in constant distress, continuously fighting itself. This can be mental or physical. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
The person that suffers next to you, may be in a constant battle with themselves. I often am. Although I'm quite articulate and self-aware, I can explain to others and myself. Others aren't like me. Other's don't have the time, do not have the knowledge or the resources available to do that. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
So I ask, have you spoken to the ones next to you that are suffering to check what helps them? The ones that are reallly struggling. Have you asked what that pain feels like? How is it affecting them physically and mentally? What fears do they have because of this? ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Or have you tried sprinkling some positive psychology and asking them to 'imagine, believe and achieve' ? Using illusions that lead to delusions and quite frankly avoid the problem itself. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Have you tried sprinkling some responsibility on the individual? With a handful of encouragement and guidance? ⁣⁣
Now, the goal of this post is to encourage open discussions that lead to actions and activities that will help and support the person. It is to remind you not to be afraid of uncomfortable questions because they will build long lasting support mechanisms. It's to encourage you to validate the pain and then to suggest brainstorming some solutions. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
This should not lead to victimization. The person should not be a victim and if that is the case, do not encourage that. This should lead to empowerment via kindness, love and compassion. This should lead to growing up and grabbing life by the balls. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
So instead of assuming, ask. ⁣⁣
Instead of positivity face reality. ⁣⁣
Instead of offering advice, research and suggest what may help. Better yet, encourage the person to do this if they are capable. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Support and try to understand.⁣

If you are struggling or struggled in the past, what support would help

What does happiness mean to you? ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
⁣⁣
The term happiness is used in the context of mental or emotional states, including positive or pleasant emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy. It is also used in the context of life satisfaction, subjective well-being, eudaimonia, flourishing and well-being.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
⁣⁣
So if I asked you what does happiness mean to you?... Would you be able to answer? ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
⁣⁣
If yes, congratulations! Your wellbeing will be reflective of that. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
⁣⁣
If your answer is no, why not? ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Happiness is a subjective term. It is individual. Although our definitions may be influenced by our culture, trends, family values, your city and upbringing it is still yours... You can tweak it wherever you wish to make it appropriate to YOU! ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
⁣⁣
If you haven't explored this question yet, I suggest you spend some time alone. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
⁣⁣
It may be useful to reflect what your current happiness means based on your environmental factors. For example, do I value money over career? If so, why? Just because I get money, does this job bring me satisfaction, does it excite me? Does it use my strengths appropriately? EXPLORE. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Once you explore your current state, spend some time defining your future happiness. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
⁣⁣
List your values, your ideal self, your strengths, things and situations that bring you pure JOY that enable you to have FUN. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
⁣⁣
For example: Happiness to me is prioritizing my emotional, mental and physical wellbeing. Happiness to me is spending quality time and having fun with my family and friends! It's exploring, developing, learning and taking care of myself. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Unless I invest in the ebove, it does not matter what I have, do or where I am. Those factors will not bring me full satisfaction. Only when executing on the above definition do I feel joy, I flow, I have fun. I love life. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
So what's the definition of your happiness? What does happiness mean to you? SHARE⁣ 💙🙏💙

It's normal to feel sore after a massage. The technique carries blood and nutrients to your muscles while eliminating toxins. After stimulating muscles that you may not usually use, you might experience delayed onset muscle soreness. This is a physical response to the inflammation as your body heals.⁣

Insta VS Reality.⁣

I'm sure we can all start slowly.⁣

By normalising normal bodies.⁣

There's no need to glorify obesity and weight which causes health problems but there is a need to normalise a fat layer around muscles. It's inevitable and extremely healthy for women. It's important to normalise bloating and some rolls when we sit. ⁣

Fat is necessary.⁣

“Fat” is a generic term for structural fats, body fat, and dietary fats. Structural fats are used as building materials within your body for cells, hormones, and brain components. Body fat the reservoir of fat used as insulation and energy and is found in fat cells in the form of triglycerides. Body fat is not the same as dietary fat and is not necessarily derived from the fats you eat.⁣

Adipose tissue (body fat) is crucial for health. Along with fat cells, adipose tissue contains numerous nerve cells and blood vessels, storing and releasing energy to fuel the body and releasing important hormones vital to the body's needs.⁣

Eating a low-fat diet decreases the body’s production of estrogen and progesterone. This is because all hormones are made from protein and fat, while s*x hormones (such as estrogen and testosterone) are made from cholesterol. If fat and cholesterol are cut out of the diet, a steady supply of estrogen isn’t produced, which may cause symptoms of estrogen deficiency (insomnia, night sweats, heart palpitations, etc.) in women of any age.⁣

While fat has more calories per gram than proteins and carbohydrates, it doesn’t mean that eating it causes weight gain. By eating protein and fats, the body uses these foods first for building materials (cells, enzymes, hormones, etc.), leaving fewer calories to be used as energy or stored as fat. ⁣

So let's endulge in healthy fats. Be okay with your layer of fats and for goodness sake, normalise, normal!

We're setting an example for the young ones. Let's educate ourselves and them! Let's empower them by sharing knowledge and reality. Not the unrealistic expectations of commercialised society. 💙🙏💙⁣

Are you with me???? ⁣

Did you know about the different types of fats and their responsibilities in our bodies? 🤔⁣
