Day 3 and we have passed Halliwell Care Home and we are halfway to Eversfield Care Home with an amazing 125 miles already in the bag.

We met two of the cutest baby lambs, named Steve and Michelle who stole our hearts today 💙🩷 Residents, staff and family members were able to hold them for a cuddle and just watching them play brought a wonderful sense of peace and togetherness to us all.

What a wonderful start to May we had at Rush Court. This morning we were treated to a fantastic performance from the Wallingford Morris filling the garden with colour, music and a joyful atmosphere. There were lots of happy faces watching them perform, Our residents absolutely loved every moment.

An afternoon of creativity at Rush Court as our residents crafted beautiful flowers for their May Day baskets. Some chose to colour in baskets and add their own flowers to it.

Traditionally, May Day baskets were a sweet gesture of kindness, people would leave small baskets filled with flowers or treats on a neighbour’s doorstep, knock, and then run away before being seen. A simple act meant to spread joy and welcome the start of spring.

Our residents loved bringing this old tradition to life, celebratng may day, colour and the promise of warmer days ahead.

Follow us as our very own Steve Paris from Rush Court attempts this cycle challenge of 430 miles, the distance between our eight Elizabeth Finn homes.

He will be helped along the way by our residents and staff at Rush Court who will be ticking off some of the miles on foot and by wheelchair in our grounds.

All in support of Turn2us our patron charity whose aim is to support those facing financial insecurity.

The challenge will run from 1-10th May 2026 and if you would like to help support us please use the QR code provided.

We had such a wonderful afternoon with our Rush Court Tots yesterday. Our residents loved seeing them and talking to them, The smiles said it all.
Thank you to everyone who came along.

We’re still looking for more little ones to help our group grow. If you’d like to be part of these special intergenerational moments, we’d love to welcome you into our beautiful home and introduce you to our residents.
It’s completely free and you can enjoy a cuppa and piece of cake while your little one plays.

Our seated exercise sessions may be gentle, but they make a big difference. They help residents keep their strength, boost circulation and support balance, all while enjoying time together and having a good laugh.

Whether it’s stretching, marching to music, or following along to a physiotherapist on the tv, every movement matters. And every session reminds us how powerful it is to stay active together.
