🧶 Knit & Natter was in full swing this morning, though truth be told, the nattering may have outpaced the knitting.
Joy was busy crafting a matinee jacket for her future great-grandchildren (how special is that), while Pam picked up the needles again with a little assistance.
There’s nothing quite like good company, a nice cuppa, and the gentle rhythm of yarn and conversation.

When the weather’s gloomy outside, we bring the sunshine indoors ☔🎶
This afternoon was all about joyful noise, singing our hearts out, clapping along, waving to the rhythm, and blowing bubbles that danced through the room. A little rain never stopped us from having some fun.

A lovely afternoon spent in Abingdon yesterday 🌤️
We strolled over the bridge, paused to admire the old gaol, and made a much-needed pit stop at Costa for a refuel ☕. Then it was riverside wanderings, duck-feeding, and a quiet moment sat soaking in the peace.
It brought back some beautiful memories for Daphne.

☕️ Bank Holiday Bliss in the Courtyard cafe
This morning, residents kicked back with a coffee and the morning papers. After catching up on the headlines, some tuned in to The Archers, while others got stuck into the word of the day or tackled a crossword. A perfect mix of relaxation and brainpower to start the day right.

🎶 This morning, Ellen led a joyful Music & Movement session, our residents got moving with some light seated exercises to plenty of uplifting tunes to set the tone.
🎨 Then this afternoon, we had one simple request: paint our garden. Mission accepted… and most definitely accomplished. 🌼

✨ This afternoon in craft club it was bursting with colour and creativity as we crafted bold, beautiful headpieces ready for Monday’s carnival experience afternnoon.💃🎭🌈

What a great way start to the week, This morning, our courtyard café was the perfect spot for a cosy catch-up over coffee and crosswords. Residents gathered to sip, solve, and share a few giggles as we tackled the clues together.

🌿 Gardening club update 🌿
This afternoon in Gardening Club, we rolled up our sleeves and gave the greenhouse a good tidy. While we were there, we picked a fresh cucumber and spotted some vibrant peppers coming along nicely
Next, we headed over to the residents’ allotment to spruce things up and harvest some runner beans. One of them was so impressively large that Hannah couldn’t resist showing it off to her friend Brian, who was watching from his bedroom window.
We delivered the freshly picked runner beans to the kitchen, ready to be served with tomorrow’s roast dinner. From garden to plate, what a lovely way to spend the afternoon.

Yesterday, our residents were treated to a heartwarming performance by the talented Phoebe Abridge. There was singing, clapping, and even a bit of chair dancing with smiles all around! 💃👏🎤

Another blissful afternoon on the river🛥️

Today’s boat trip was pure serenity, gliding along under sunny skies, we spotted graceful herons, curious cows, and plenty of smiling faces soaking up the beautiful weather. A peaceful afternoon was had by all.
