Bowland View Bowland View is a new Extra Care scheme designed for people over the age of 55 in Bentham.

🌟 Calling Local Talent & Community Groups! 🌟

We’re looking to bring more fun, creativity and connection to our Extra Care scheme, and we’d love to hear from people in the local community (and beyond!) who would like to get involved.

Do you provide entertainment or run activities that could be enjoyed by older residents? We’re currently looking for people who can offer things such as:
🎤 Singing or live music
💃 Dance performances or dance sessions
😂 Comedy or light entertainment
🎨 Art demonstrations or art classes
🧶 Craft workshops (knitting, painting, pottery, etc.)
📚 Talks, storytelling, or local history sessions
🧘 Gentle exercise, yoga, or wellbeing sessions
🐾 Pet therapy visits

If you, your group, or someone you know would be interested in delivering a session, performance, or workshop, please get in touch. We’d love to hear what you offer.

This is a wonderful chance to bring great food and a warm atmosphere to our residents and visitors, while running your own venture in a supportive environment.

A huge thank you to everyone at Bowland View for your amazing fundraising efforts 🎄💙

Our residents have been busy selling Christmas cards, raffle tickets and generously donating, thanks to their hard work and generosity, have raised £142.28 for St John's Hospice, £240 towards memory Memory Wheelchairs, and £32.75 for Wellbeing of Women

We’re so proud of what our residents and team have achieved together, and grateful to everyone who supported these wonderful causes. Thank you for making such a meaningful difference! 🙏✨

This is Barbara from Age UK North Craven who visits Bentham Community Library on the first Wednesday of every month from 9.30 am - 12 noon.

She offers free, confidential and impartial information and advice for older people, and can support with a wide range of issues, including your rights, local services, benefits, housing, property issues, health and social activities.

Barbara's in this Wednesday (4 November) and would love to meet you - pop-in for a chat or a brew!
