🍜 Three bean soup bursting with immune boosting nutrients and flavour.

This recipe contains beans which means it’s also a great source of protein that will keep you feeling fuller for longer.

During the colder months, it’s good to have delicious soup recipes at hand that are quick and easy as they are a great way to pack in those immune boosting vegetables.

✨ INGREDIENTS ✨
2 tbsp olive oil
175g (6oz) onions chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2tsp ground coriander
1 tbsp paprika
1 tsp mild curry powder
225g (8oz) courgettes, sliced
225g (8oz) potatoes, diced
2 x 400g (14oz) tin of mixed beans (or a packet of mixed beans cooked from scratch as instructed on the packet)
1½ litres (2½ pints) water or vegetable stock
350g (12oz) cooked beetroot, diced
Plain yogurt to serve

✨ METHOD ✨
Sauté the onion and garlic for two minutes. Add the spices and cook for another two minutes, add the courgettes and potatoes, and cook for a further two minutes. Add the drained beans and the stock or water.

Serves 4.

Immune Boosting Smoothie recipe | SAVE FOR LATER.
It’s that time of year when viruses are running rampant.

When it comes to increasing your protection against viruses, attack is the best form of defence. Nutrition and lifestyle have a huge effect on your immune health so make sure you are doing everything you can to boost it.

Here’s an easy, delicious smoothie packed with vitamins and minerals to help support your immune system. The pineapple, ginger, and coconut give it a deliciously sweet, fruity flavour!

Ingredients
• 1/4 fresh pineapple
• 1 cup coconut water
• 1 apple, quartered and deseeded
• handful fresh or frozen berries
• 1/4 avocado, peeled and stoned
• 2 handfuls baby gem lettuce
• 1/4 handful of fresh coriander (optional)
• 1-inch piece fresh root ginger

Method
• Place all ingredients in blender and blend
• Add in extra water to thin out smoothie if needed.

It is said “you are what you eat,” and it’s especially true when it comes to your skin health.

If you aren’t taking in enough of the right nutrients, it can reflect in the appearance of your skin.

One of the best things you can do nutritionally for your skin is to ensure you’re consuming plenty of antioxidants.

Antioxidants help fight free radicals, unstable molecules produced when our bodies convert food into energy, or created by pollution, radiation, alcohol, and smoking.

Free radicals will attack your healthy cells, causing inflammation and damage. In the case of your skin, this can result in the appearance of:
✖️Fine lines & wrinkles
✖️Uneven skin tone
✖️Acne, Rosacea, Eczema and more

Some of the best sources of antioxidants include….
🫐Blueberries
🍓Strawberries
🍇Red grapes
🥬Red cabbage
🥬Dark leafy greens

🥕Orange vegetables (carrots, sweet potato, squash)

💦 And of course, ensure you’re drinking plenty throughout the day. Two litres of clear fluids (not soft drinks) should be the minimum you aim to drink in a day. Not only will plenty of water and antioxidants help improve the appearance of your skin, but it will also help support your liver – vital to keep you in good health!

A Food Sensitivity may also be causing a level of disruption in the body which may too be reflected through the skin as acne or rosacea.
