Some of the healthiest foods in one plate of salad today 🥗 for lunch .

Poached salmon, olives , beetroot, feta, edamame beans , quinoa , cherry tomatoes and green salad leaves. Tahini , lemon , EVOO and honey dressing . Yum 😋

Yearning for the Mediterranean ? You can’t beat a simple mozzarella / tomato salad for lunch , apart from when you add avocado 🥑( for healthy fats) , pickled red onions from ( fermented fibre/ antioxidants and HUGE flavour ) and pumpkin seeds for healthy fat and your immune system as they rich in zinc.
Topped with fresh parsley 🌿 ( rich in vitamin C) as I had no basil !

Don’t forget the most important bit - doused in the healthiest ingredient on the planet oil ( always go cold pressed , single blend with a peppery kick for high polyphenol content ) 💪😊- it’s pretty too!

I am smoothie girl so my latest superfood powder that I am loving that is turning everything purple is using powder - freeze dried powder from the new super berry . 4 X more than blueberries 🫐- Rich in antioxidants . Great for brain , heart and skin health . Rich in vitamin C.

Recipe - serves 2
2 tsp haskapa powder ( haskap berry)
250 ml almond or coconut milk
1 tbsp chia seeds
1/2 banana
Handful frozen berries
1/2 avocado
Ice cubes ( optional) - I like smoothies cold

Blend for 1 minute - enjoy !

I am reposting this from a while back , as I am being constantly asked about meditation.

As a Yoga Teacher it is something I get asked about so much as it’s such an important part of practicing yoga . Most people know it to be very beneficial but don’t know where to start and think they are going to find it difficult . Funnily enough these are the very people that it can REALLY help.

Meditation /Contemplation is referred to as ‘dhyana’ in the ancient Indian yogic philosophy and is the seventh limb of Yoga.

On average we have around 60,000 thoughts a day 😳- so it’s incredibly important to find a strategy to help calm down that racing mind.

Meditation can be as simple as this strategy here and doesn’t have to be complicated. You just need to find something that works for you .

Give this simple exercise a go and you’ll be amazed after a few days of trying it how much calmer you feel. I like to meditate at night but you can squeeze this in any time of day and especially when you are feeling a little overwhelmed 😉.
