Rachal Buller Acupuncture

Rachal Buller Acupuncture A fully qualified Acupuncturist and member of the British Acupuncture Council based at Becky Aston Physiotherapy Clinic, Berkhamsted.

Evening appointments available. Traditional acupuncture is a safe and effective practice, which can be used alongside conventional medicine. By inserting ultra-fine sterile needles into specific acupuncture points along the 12 acupuncture meridians or channels which cover the body, a traditional acupuncturist seeks to re-establish the free flow of energy (Qi or Chi) to restore balance and trigger the body’s natural healing response. As acupuncture aims to treat the whole person rather than specific symptoms in isolation it can be effective for a range of conditions. Some people turn to acupuncture for help with a specific symptom or condition. Others choose to have treatment to help maintain good health, as a preventive measure, or simply to improve their general sense of well-being. A growing body of evidence-based clinical research shows that traditional acupuncture, as practised by British Acupuncture Council members safely treats a wide range of common health problems including short-term relief of symptoms such as pain, tension-type headaches, migraines and temporary pain relief from osteoarthritis of the knee. The World Health Organisation (WHO) now recommends 29 symptoms, diseases and conditions which can be effectively treated by acupuncture and a further 63 conditions which have shown to have a therapeutic effect, but further proof is needed including:

- Digestive disorders: gastritis and hyperacidity, spastic colon, constipation, diarrhoea.
- Respiratory disorders: sinusitis, sore throat, bronchitis, asthma, recurrent chest infections.
- Neurological and muscular disorders: headaches, facial tics, neck pain, rib neuritis, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, various forms of tendinitis, low back pain, sciatica, osteoarthritis.
- Urinary, menstrual, and reproductive problems

Lost & Found

This lovely man Phil from came to my rescue and helped me find my engagement ring this morning.

After being a tit and losing it outside of the clinic on Thursday, his colleague Keith answered my mayday call and put me in touch with PhiI. I was very touched that Phil would give up his Sunday morning for no fee, just out of the goodness of his heart.

Phil and Keith from Tring History Hunters are always looking for land to search for artefacts on. So if you need some help finding something lost or have some land that they could help you find some hidden treasures on, give them a call. They couldn’t be nicer and more professional.

Thanks again guys
Rachal x

Acupuncture Treatments During Lockdown

It’s good news, we’ve been told that we can continue to work treating urgent care and high needs.

This is down to my professional judgement, and based on what I treat the majority of my clients for, I can confirm I’m happy I will be able to continue to treat the majority of cases.

Whether your pro or anti-vaccines this is a bit disturbing. I am pro choice and very worried that this could set a precedent for future laws being passed.

After 18th Sept, The Government are going to say they consulted the public and because there were no objections, we all want and consent to the rollout of unlicensed , and that we are happy for non-medical staff to administer them and happy to accept we will not have the ability to ask for compensation if we face damage to our health.

They are going to say, you agreed to it (because no one saw this request to share their opinion), this request is not being seen by many and has not been promoted widely enough.

Please don’t fall into apathy and then complain when it’s too late.

NB: click on the photo and then look for the blue ‘respond on line’, click on the words to go to the right place to share your views on each aspect of the potentially harmful new law they want to pass.

Please reshare this.

We want your views on proposed changes to the Human Medicine Regulations to help with the safe and efficient distribution of a COVID-19 vaccine and expanded flu vaccine programme in the UK, along with treatments for COVID-19 and any other diseases that become pandemic.

What a wonderful end to the week

An IVF client and fertility client found out they were pregnant and an IVF client I have treated throughout her fertility journey and pregnancy has just had beautiful baby girl! This is what makes my job so worthwhile.

In an ideal world regardless of your fertility issues, or if you are about to embark on IUI or IVF, it’s worth considering starting a course of acupuncture at least 3 months beforehand. The reason being is that it can take up to 3-6 months to regulate menstrual cycles, improve ovulation and improve s***m health.

This can seem like a large commitment in terms of time and money, but in the long run it will hopefully help you reduce the need for assisted fertility, and help you to get you and your body into the best place to conceive or embark on your round of IVF.
