Here are my honest answers to the most common questions I hear from clients:

👉 How many times a week do I need to train?
• To get stronger and fitter, a minimum of 2 sessions a week, with 3-4 being ideal. A mix of strength training, Pilates, yoga and cardio like walking or running works best. More isn’t always better - CONSISTENCY is what matters.

👉 How soon until I see results?
• Many people notice improvements in energy, cravings and mood within weeks. Changes in body composition take a bit longer, but consistency - alongside good nutrition - really does pay off.

👉 Why can’t I lose belly fat no matter what I try?
• Because it’s not just about exercise or diet. Stress, sleep, blood sugar and hormones all play a role, especially for women 40+.

👉 Do short workouts actually count?
• Yes. A 20-minute, well-structured workout done regularly is far more effective than long sessions done sporadically.

👉 Why am I always hungry?
• Constant hunger is usually a blood sugar issue, not a lack of willpower. It’s about eating more of the right things.

Trying to lose weight over 40 but feel like nothing works anymore?

You’re not imagining it - it is harder to lose weight as we get older, and these 3 common mistakes often keep people stuck👇

1️⃣ Eating too little.
Under-fueling can raise stress hormones, slow your metabolism, and increase cravings.

2️⃣ Too much cardio, not enough strength.
Cardio has its place, but strength training is key for supporting muscle, metabolism, bone health, and long-term fat loss.

3️⃣ Not supporting blood sugar & hormones. Perimenopause and menopause change how your body responds to food, exercise, and stress. You need a balanced diet - without extremes - and a bit of TLC.

✨ Sustainable weight loss over 40 isn’t about doing more or trying harder.
It’s about working with your body and giving it what it actually needs.

You finally sit down - and immediately feel guilty, like you should be unloading the dishwasher, hanging up washing, replying to messages…

But here’s the truth:
Self-care isn’t indulgent. It’s basic maintenance for your energy, hormones, and sanity.

I see this all the time in my lifestyle & nutrition coaching groups - women feeling guilty for taking time out for themselves, even when they’re running on empty.

You can’t pour from an empty cup.
Being kinder to yourself is often the first step to feeling more energised, confident and emotionally resilient. It’s how you recharge so you can show up as your best self - for you and everyone else.

Most of us feel a degree of imposter syndrome when we take on a new challenge - myself included - but feedback like this reminds me that it’s always worth stepping outside your comfort zone.

I launched my Lifestyle & Nutrition coaching groups to help like-minded women feel the best versions of themselves. We’re only halfway through the Autumn Glow-Up, and my ladies are already experiencing a new lease of life - more energy and confidence, reduced hunger and cravings, and a real sense of momentum.

Small steps really do lead to big results. 🍂✨
