Abbeyfield House is a stunning 18th century building in the picturesque town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, which sits at the most northerly tip of Northumberland just 3 miles from the Scottish Border. We are situated in a perfect location on the Elizabethan Walls surrounding the town, offering easy direct access to the town centre and truly stunning views of the River Tweed. We are just a short walk from plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants for you to enjoy as well as having many stunning historical landmarks right on the doorstep. The house has three 2-room suites and four bedsits. Three rooms sit on the ground floor, with the others upstairs which can be accessed by stair lifts if needed. All rooms are en-suite and come unfurnished, allowing you to bring your own furniture and make the space a real home from home. How you furnish your apartment is up to you, so you’re free to put your own stamp on it. Our private walled garden at the rear of the house is the perfect place for you to relax and take in the fresh sea air, be it by yourself, with other residents or with your visitors. The fantastic staff ensure that the house is warm, comfortable and safe and that the daily meals provided are varied, nutritious and enjoyable. The house is staffed for approximately 9 hours a day. A single ensuite room is approximately £1,500 per calendar month. This includes all meals, water, heat, light, your TV license and activities. Depending on eligibility approximately 80% of the room cost will be covered by housing benefit / support. On top of the monthly rent you will need to pay for any TV packages, incidentals and phone packages that you may have.
