We would like to thank the Maltings Berwick for hosting the world premiere of our Expressive Dance film 'Interconnected.'

It was great to see all of the service users up on the big screen and celebrate the hard work and dedication that they have put in to this project over the months.

Thank you to everyone that came along to watch our film and to Chloe Sayers for your help and guidance throughout.

Over the past few weeks, staff and service users have been going in to St Mary's First School to teach Makaton and have a bit of fun.

We are very quickly getting to the point where they know more than us!

These sessions have been a lot of fun and we can't wait for the next one. We are even going to get them involved with a bit of a film project so I would get practicing if I was you Mr Hilton....

Today is the culmination of our Expressive Dance project!

We have even pushed the boat out and filming in a brand new location. We even have a green room for refreshments between shots.

Well what a lovely Valentines Disco we had today 🕺🥳❤️

Was so nice to see a few of our friends from Pottergate come and join in the fun with us.

It was a good thing we didn't have any awards for best dancer as we would still be there trying to decide now!

1 week to go until our Valentines disco!

Our clients have been working hard all week making decorations and practicing their best dance moves.

We absolutely LOVE our poster for the Valentine's disco 💖.

In just over two weeks, we hope to see as many Casanova's coming along as possible for the cheesiest tunes that the DJ can think of. Everyone is welcome.

Perhaps someone you live with fancies coming or you pluck up the courage to ask that person that has had your eye? Whatever the relationship, come on down and celebrate with us with good music, good company, and most importantly, good fun!

One of our newest clients, Joelle, is in the process of raising money to allow her to get a new wheelchair that would benefit her in numerous ways.

Unfortunately, this comes with a pretty hefty price tag. But undaunted, Joelle and her family have risen to the challenge.

We will be organising a performance at some point to help towards the total and will keep you all posted when we know more, but in the meantime, Joelle and her family are busy raising money through the selling of mystery books. Perhaps that reader in your life has a birthday coming up? Or maybe you just fancy treating yourself? Either way, all the money raised goes towards a fantastic cause.

Donations of books are also gratefully received. Or just spreading the word. Whatever support you can give will be a big benefit.

Massive congratulations to our very own Sophie for raising an amazing £200!

Sophie decided to take part in her very first Boxing Day dip and very kindly donated the money raised to us at Northstar.

This money will go a long way to providing experiences and events that will benefit the whole group. Well done Sophie but you have thrown down the gauntlet for the staff to do the next one 😥.

Well we have had quite the packed December! 🎄🎅🥁🐴🕺

It started off with a lovely meal at the Greens Restaurant before getting right back in to practicing for our Christmas Concert.

It was amazing to see so many come out and support. Some new faces and our constant fans were all there to get in to the Christmas spirit with us. Together we managed to raise an amazing £437 💰 which goes towards providing fun experiences for our clients.

And speaking of fun experiences, we also enjoyed both a carol service and a live band as well! No wonder we are all exhausted.😴

We will be back next year with more events that we cant wait to see you all at, but in the meantime, all of us here at Northstar would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
