The Northstar Centre Northstar is a day care centre for adults with learning disabilities serving Berwick-upon-Tweed.

The Northstar Centre is a Northumberland County Council managed day service for adults with learning disabilities in Berwick-upon-Tweed and the surrounding area. We offer a wide range of activities designed specifically around our clients' developmental and individual care needs.

Massive congratulations to our very own Sophie for raising an amazing £200!

Sophie decided to take part in her very first Boxing Day dip and very kindly donated the money raised to us at Northstar.

This money will go a long way to providing experiences and events that will benefit the whole group. Well done Sophie but you have thrown down the gauntlet for the staff to do the next one 😥.

Well we have had quite the packed December! 🎄🎅🥁🐴🕺

It started off with a lovely meal at the Greens Restaurant before getting right back in to practicing for our Christmas Concert.

It was amazing to see so many come out and support. Some new faces and our constant fans were all there to get in to the Christmas spirit with us. Together we managed to raise an amazing £437 💰 which goes towards providing fun experiences for our clients.

And speaking of fun experiences, we also enjoyed both a carol service and a live band as well! No wonder we are all exhausted.😴

We will be back next year with more events that we cant wait to see you all at, but in the meantime, all of us here at Northstar would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

It feels as if we have been practicing and listening to Christmas songs from about mid Easter, but it is finally our Christmas Concert tomorrow!🎄🎅🥁🐴🕺🤠

We have some Music, Makaton, Merriment and more to get even those most dedicated of Scrooges in to the Christmas feeling.

We also have quite a lot of raffle prizes so please bring some luck with you.

With only 4 weeks to go before our Christmas Concert, now feels like the perfect time to share our poster and all the information that you need.

With just over a month to go till our Christmas Concert, we have been busy practicing and choreographing.

You can expect some surprises, old favourites, new soon to be favourites, fun, Christmas cheer! (and also a poster very soon that will give you all the details.)

We will also be holding a raffle again this year. We were blown away by the generosity of the donated prizes last year and raised over £250. In the past year we have used money such as this to go on Theatre trips, hiring live bands for social days, and loads of other fun things.

So if anyone has anything that they are willing to donate to this year's raffle then we would very much appreciate it.

Either way, we hope to see as many of you there as possible next month.

What a fantastic turn out!

We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we have. Together we raised over £600 for the Berwick and District Breast Cancer Support Group. Once again, a massive thanks to everyone who came along or donated raffle prizes.

On the 20th of November, there is going to be an information day at the Berwick Sports and Leisure Centre.

If you look after someone, then this is a great opportunity to learn more about your rights and the resources that are available in this area to help.

Here is a date for all your diaries!

On the 23rd of October, we will be playing host to a Charity Fundraiser in aid of the newly formed, Berwick and District Breast Cancer Support Group.

Unfortunately, we all know someone that has been affected by Cancer in some way including our very own Elaine from the NorthStar Family.

We are delighted to be performing for such a worthwhile cause and have been busy devising a special 'Pink' themed playlist for the occasion. We hope to see as many of you there as possible on the 23rd at 1:30PM. The event will be cash only so best get raiding your piggy banks! 💵💰
