World Su***de Prevention Day ๐ŸŒŽ was established in 2003 by the International Association for Su***de Prevention in partnership with the World Health Organisation and takes place on 10th September.

This yearโ€™s theme is a triennial and covers 2025 โ€“ 2026 โ€˜CHANGING THE NARRATIVE ON SUICIDEโ€™

This theme calls on us all to challenge harmful myths, reduce stigma and foster open, compassionate conversations about su***de.

It is about shifting from silence and misunderstanding to openness, empathy, and support; creating environments where people feel able to speak up and seek help.

According to โ€˜The World Health Organisationโ€™ changing the narrative also means driving systemic change. It calls for su***de prevention and mental health to be a priority in public policy.

We are all urging governments and institutions to act.
This includes developing and implementing evidence based strategies, improving access to quality care, and ensuring that those in distress receive the support they need.

World Su***de Prevention Day focuses global attention on su***de prevention, uniting communities, organisations and governments
with the shared belief that su***des are preventable. ๐Ÿ’›

๐ŸŽ‰ End of Term Key Stage 2, Tea Party organised by Tweedmouth Prior Park First School Year 3 & Choices4Growth! โ˜•๐Ÿฐ

Our brilliant Year 3 pupils, with support from the Choices4Growth team wrapped up the term in style by planning and hosting a end of term tea party!

The class learnt organisation skills for party planning, chose the style of event, picked the food and drinks, setting, background music, creating an invitation list and handling RSVPs. ๐ŸŒŸ

They were thrilled to invite Year 4 as the special guests and use the party to celebrate a historic moment โ€“ they will be the first-ever Year 5s at TPPFS! ๐Ÿซโœจ

A huge thank you to Asda for kindly supplying food and drinks โ€“ your support made the day even more special! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ’š

Well done Year 3 โ€“ event planners in the making!
