Were you aware that a recent paper by the Mental Health foundation recommends a trauma-informed approach being implemented in all sectors, policies and processes that effect people seeking asylum?

We are running a 2 hour coproduced webinar on how to apply this approach to working with asylum seekers on September 23rd at 1400. I will be joined by someone who is herself a displaced person, talking about her experiences and what has helped her.

People working in health and social care settings are at higher risk for burn out and vicarious trauma whilst peer supervision and a trauma-informed approach are protective factors. Yet, it is so hard to put ourselves first, particularly when that means saying no to people who need us.
