BETHESDA & ONLINE — Find Your Core and Pelvic Floor Muscles Yoga Workshop
Sunday 26th April 10am–midday

Join Claire Mace for an experiential exploration of your deep core and pelvic floor. Learn to connect with and strengthen the muscles that support your whole body from the inside. Through breath, targeted activation and slow mindful movement, you will build awareness of these vital areas. Finish with a nourishing Yoga Nidra to integrate what you have discovered. You will also be sent a recording after so you can continue the practices.
Open to all.

Here’s a nice grounding yoga class for you or anyone for who might find it helpful (feel free to share it).

It’s all about connecting to the support of the Earth.
💚
This class isn’t suitable for total beginners as I’m not demonstrating every single pose and there are hard abdominal exercises… it starts nice and slow and then leads onto a little flow.
💚
If anything doesn’t feel right for you today, skip that pose and move onto the next one. Or message me if you want a recommendation on a simpler session.

At 50 years of age, I have less back pain than I did at 25.

That's not luck. That's yoga.

Regular practice has genuinely transformed how my body feels.

I've built real core and pelvic floor strength through subtle and consistent work.

My nervous system has learned how to relax.

I've also connected with my somatic awareness: feeling what's happening in my body, rather than just pushing through.

I love working with stiff, middle-aged people who've spent decades stuck in the same movement patterns… hello work from homers and office people!

I love younger people discovering how to befriend their bodies.

I love older folk who want to feel more mobile moving through everyday life.

Yoga isn't about being flexible or spiritual or Insta-perfect; it's about feeling better in your own skin.

Just an hour or two a week could make a massive difference to you, both in the short term and the long term.

Mae ymarfer rheolaidd wedi trawsnewid gwirioneddol sut mae fy nghorff yn teimlo.

Rydw i wedi adeiladu cryfder yn fy mol a llawr y pelfis trwy waith cynnil a chyson.

Mae fy system nerfol wedi dysgu sut i ymlacio.

Rydw i hefyd wedi cysylltu â'm hymwybyddiaeth somatig: teimlo beth sy'n digwydd yn fy nghorff, mwy na wthio ymlaen.

Rydw i'n caru gweithio efo bobl ganol oed anhyblyg sydd wedi treulio degawdau wedi'u dal yn yr un patrymau o symud... helo i bawb sy'n gweithio adra neu yn y swyddfa!

Rydw i'n caru pobl iau sy'n darganfod sut i ffrindio â'u cyrff.

Rydw i'n caru pobl hŷn sy'n isio teimlo'n fwy symudol wrth fynd trwy fywyd bob dydd.

Her classes and workshops focus on enabling participants to work at their own level, working their edge in a gentle way. She draws inspiration from Forrest yoga and Hatha yoga.
