Your body mass index (BMI) can be used to assess whether you’re a healthy weight. If you have a high BMI, you may be at increased risk of certain health conditions. Your BMI alone cannot diagnose your risk of disease, but it can be used by a healthcare professional to help assess that risk.

To calculate your BMI, you’ll need to know your weight and your height. If you know these, you can try our BMI calculator to calculate your BMI.

Calculate your body mass index (BMI) with Bupa’s BMI calculator. Work out if you’re a healthy weight and get the right advice to reach your ideal weight.

For Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Bupa is working with Breast Cancer Now to help raise awareness to the signs and symptoms of both primary and secondary breast cancer. Bupa is proud to dedicate this post to Patricia Swannell, the Aunt of Laura Bradford, who wrote the poem. Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007, Patricia's subsequent secondary breast cancer took years to diagnose. As a result, and driven by a selfless passion and determination to make a difference to those who come after her, Patricia Swannell devoted the last precious year of her life to driving change for people affected by secondary breast cancer. With special thanks also to Jo Knight, recent star of our TV advert and breast cancer survivor, for voicing the important messages in the poem.

Bupa is proud to dedicate this to Patricia Swannell, whose niece, Laura Bradford, wrote the poem on which the video above is based.Diagnosed with breast canc...

October 10th marks World Mental Health Day. We know that young people experience lots of physical and mental changes as they grow. The experiences they have during this time of development can also impact their future mental health and emotional skills.

Helping your child express how they feel can help them feel supported and can help you learn about any problems they’re experiencing sooner.

Here, we offer a fun activity you can do with young people to help start healthy conversations about their emotions and mental health.

These Chatter Box Cards are designed to help you and your child have healthy conversations about mental wellbeing.
