Exercising my gratitude muscle today. For a wonderful weekend of embodied yoga, for coastal walks, for being well fed, for wonderful company and sense of community.
For the tears, the laughs, the sharing… all of it that brings us together 💚

Can you find any degree of gratitude or thankfulness today?

Thank you to everyone who attended. Sending love out to those who wanted to but couldn’t. I’ll release both May and November 2026 dates soon to confirm.

Resting up today. A bit of grateful pottering (and, as it turns out, some excessive clothes washing and sorting! More of a challenge? 😊)

Molescroft yoga is on as usual this evening at 6.30pm.

See you on the mats and chairs 🙏🏼💚

The biggest and brightest full moon this year arrives on Stress Awareness Day – Wednesday 5 November.

If you’re feeling stressed – take a moment to gaze up at the moon – absorb it’s gentle, calming energy - breathe, reflect and let go.

The moment it will be closest to the earth and therefore biggest is actually during UK daytime - 1.19pm. How can that be? Well, it’s syzygy - the exact moment when the Sun and Moon are aligned on opposite sides of the Earth.

The moon will still look full either on the night before or after ‘syzygy’.

Morning!

Classes are back this week for a 7 week block but, as it’s also the November retreat, the classes on Friday won’t run just for this week.

Come to mats and chairs to shake away any lethargy, to connect to body, breath and mind/spirit on a deeper level. To honour how we arrive, and set our intention to meet ourselves where we are at. That seems like a good place to start and continue through every day. Just taking a moment to take inventory and stay with how we are for a few quiet moments so we can honour this throughout the day.

The days are shorter but the light is still there to be found….

Beautiful beautiful Kilnwick Percy 🥰

Enjoying my half term, working still (prepping for our lovely retreat on 7th) but also taking lots of space and rest. And my fabulous Elevate training this weekend.

Just a reminder that yoga classes are running tomorrow 1pm St Mary’s Hall and 4pm online. Then slow flow on Sunday at 8pm. And we restart fully from Monday 💚🙏🏼💚

Hello 👋

I had plans for this week already but, on my morning walk with Nancy 🐕 and under a vast October sky, I thought better of them. After an intensive but fabulous weekend training with Good Ground Yoga, my thoughts turned to self care. Taking extra time for the self and not hurrying. Replenishing with big bountiful breaths. And bringing this onto the mat and chairs this week. How can we use the breath to call ourselves back in? To replenish ourselves? To help us move through practice?

All classes running as below but not Cherry Burton class this Thursday 🙏🏼

Today
9.30am online chair yoga
6.30pm yoga at Molescroft Parish Hall

Wednesday
10am yoga at St Mary’s church hall
8.30pm online yoga nidra

Thursday
9.30am online chair yoga
2pm Lockington chair yoga

Friday
1pm yoga at St. Mary’s church hall
4pm online yoga

Sunday
8am online yoga flow (30 mins)

Until then 💚

Slow on the uptake this week!

This Wednesday will have to be my Monday 😂

This week we focus on finding strength in the body with a focus on uddiyana bandha and in locating strength on the mat and chairs however we find it.

All classes running but no 4pm Wednesday class at St Mary’s in Beverley now and the 12.30pm class there on Friday will now be 1pm from this Friday onwards 🙏🏼

Yes 🙏🏼

I love this time of year. Perhaps it’s the vividness of colour, the process of letting go, the permission to follow nature’s lead and become a little dormant and know that that is ok.

Our yoga practice gives us chance to return to natural equilibrium, pairing effort and ease. Finding balance that we can take away from the mat and chair and into our everyday life.

See you soon

💚 Last 4pm Wednesday class at St Mary’s is this week 💚

What a beautiful golden start to this September day 🌅

I love to watch the changing and shifting of seasons. It provides a rhythm to my practice and my year.

Especially important as we can be so removed from these subtle shifts in heated or cooled environments, bright lighting and a disconnection to the natural world around us.

This week we work with transitions, with the move for summer towards autumn. If you don’t love it like I do (maybe a birthday helps!), fear not, this is about gathering all the wisdom of the season to help us feel grounded, present and thankful, wherever your starting point.

All classes in this week but Molescroft class returns to the school from the pavilion this evening at 6.30pm.

The 4pm St Mary’s class on Wednesday will continue until end of September then will merge into the 10am class or the 12.30pm Friday class.

Om Shanté 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
