Yesterday at Earlsfield Court we enjoyed a wonderful arts and crafts session 😀

Creativity was flowing as residents explored colours, textures, and different materials. Activities like these are not only fun, but they also help support dexterity, strengthen cognitive skills, and encourage self-expression.

It’s always so special to see residents reconnect with old hobbies and passions — proving that moving into a care home doesn’t mean leaving cherished interests behind.

A lovely afternoon filled with creativity, conversation, and plenty of smiles!

Today we welcomed Emma (PCSO) and Adrian from Victim Support, hate crime team, an independent charity that works alongside the police to Earlsfield Care Home.

They spent time getting to know our home and speaking with residents about the scams currently happening in our community. From phone scams to doorstep fraud, the session focused on practical advice, staying alert, and knowing where to seek help.
Awareness is the best policy.

Our residents were very engaged, asked thoughtful questions, and showed great interest in learning how to protect themselves and their loved ones.

We look forward to arranging future talks and continuing to work together to keep our community safe.

Staying independent is so important, especially after moving into care. As we get older and find there are fewer things we can do for ourselves, the things we can still do become even more meaningful 💜

Here at Earlsfield Court Care Home, Lavender Lane is our dedicated community , specially designed to support those living with dementia, we focus on empowering our residents every single day.

Something as simple as making and serving their own tea becomes so much more than just a cup of tea, it’s confidence, familiarity, connection, and pride.

This afternoon was filled with smiles, warm conversations, and the joy of coming together. Residents enjoyed preparing their drinks, sharing stories, and spending quality time with friends in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Because independence doesn’t disappear with age, it just looks a little different. And we’re here to nurture it, every step of the way ☕✨

Celebrating love and togetherness this Valentine’s Day at Earlsfield Court ❤️

What a truly special day we’ve had! This morning, the amazing Sunshine Starrs lit up the room with a fantastic dance performance. We had a full house of residents, families, and staff enjoying every moment — the energy and smiles said it all!

In the afternoon, the wonderful Rosie Page treated us to her beautiful voice, creating the perfect atmosphere to celebrate love and friendship.

We finished the day in style with a toast of bubbly and delicious chocolates — the perfect ending to a perfect celebration.

A huge thank you to our incredible team for their amazing teamwork and dedication in making this such a memorable day for our Earlsfield family. 💕

🌟 A Special Visit from All Saints Nursery 🌟
Yesterday, we were delighted to welcome the wonderful children from All Saints Nursery to Earlsfield Court. 💛
The visit was filled with smiles, laughter, and beautiful intergenerational connection. Residents and children enjoyed sharing stories, reminiscing about treasured memories, and singing together — creating such a joyful atmosphere throughout the home.
Moments like these are truly special. The children bring such energy and happiness, while our residents love sharing their experiences and feeling part of something so meaningful.
These visits provide companionship, spark conversation, and build connections that benefit everyone involved.

It’s more than just needles and yarn — it’s about focus, creativity, and the simple joy of doing something with our hands. Knitting helps improve concentration, keeps minds active, reduces stress, and gives a real sense of achievement… all while enjoying good company and plenty of laughter.

The “natter” is just as important as the knitting — sharing stories, building friendships, and enjoying that warm feeling of being part of a community. A perfect blend of mindfulness, movement, and meaningful connection 🥰

🎶 Calling the Bexhill Community - Vinyl Record Donations Wanted 🎶

We’re reaching out to our wonderful local community in Bexhill and surrounding areas for a little help 💫

Here at Earlsfield Court Care Home, we’re purchasing a record player for our dedicated dementia community, so our residents can enjoy listening to music from years gone by, songs that spark special memories, smiles, and meaningful moments ❤️

If you have any vinyl records you no longer use and would be happy to donate, we would be incredibly grateful. Music has such a powerful impact, especially for those living with dementia, and your donation could truly make a difference.

🎵 Old classics, big band, jazz, rock ’n’ roll, musicals, or anything from the past would be amazing!
