Sadly a beautiful weekend comes to an end. šŸ™
We went to 7 Sisters Country Park this morning, we got there around 7.30 before it was busy. Iā€™ve been going there for around 45 years or more. Born and bred in West Sussex Iā€™m lucky to have spent much of my time on The South Downs and places like this.
Itā€™s such a shame some people have no respect for nature or the facilities provided.

The new shop is coming along, itā€™s far worse than I first thought, the previous tenants should be ashamed of the way they kept it, filth and junk everywhere. I was going to paint it myself but time isnā€™t on my side. Iā€™ve decided to get a painter and decorator in whoā€™s coming next week, the carpet man is coming on Thursday to measure up. New lights to go on the ceiling once Iā€™ve removed the 1980ā€™s style ones. After that we can get the stock in there. ā˜ŗļø. One more shop to find and open then thatā€™s it!

A beautiful start to the day, 10ā€™c at 5.30 am, I certainly noticed that temp drop. We are closed on Monday as itā€™s a Bank Holiday. Saturday we are open 10-2. We have 2 staff in on Saturdays now as itā€™s now a viable option.
The weather looks great for getting out and about this weekend, whatever youā€™re doing inside or out; enjoy!

With the 3rd shop on its way we need a new team member. The shop is based at Western Road, Bexhill. It will sell furniture such as Rise and recline chairs and electric profiling beds. The job is varied and will include the following.
Meet and greet customers to discuss their needs and wants.
Open and close the shop.
Take orders from customers and place them with our suppliers.
Dismantling old mobility aids and listing the parts online when not serving customers so you need to be computer savvy and know how to use hand tools. This can lead to you being trained to service and repair mobility aids. Some batteries are heavy so you need to be able to lift them.
You will need to be able to work alone and organise the shop and yourself.
Full driving license preferred but not essential if you have other qualities. This is a great industry to work in, itā€™s extremely rewarding making a difference to peopleā€™s lives.
Pay to be discussed. 5 or 6 day working (to be discussed). Hours 9- 4 weekdays and 10 - 3 Saturday (may change but only in agreement with you).
This is a new venture so you have the opportunity to help build this new business.

Please be very careful buying mobility scooters on Facebook. This person gave our Eastbourne shop address, we did sell them a new scooter so it worked out ok. Thereā€™s lots of red flags in this message, pushing for a deposit, using maā€™am etc.

In the last three working days we have had two people come in asking if we will part exchange power chairs they have purchased online because they are unsuitable. Buying in store means you can test the product and make sure youā€™re getting the right one. ļæ¼ Some people are offended when we say no. We turned one away at Bexhill and they went to Eastbourne and tried it on there, the policy is the same same across both stores. Buying from us means you can get the after-care and support quickly and you are supporting a local small business. ļæ¼

šŸ˜® 2 years since we moved from Sackville Road to Western Road. The new shop was much bigger but itā€™s not taken long to fill it up! We will have more space once Iā€™ve sorted out the new shop as Iā€™ll put some stock down there freeing space for us. I just want to make a couple of things clear. You can speak to any of the staff we are a company and we all work together. Mark is very busy in the background running the business so heā€™s not always available to talk. We can all help you so speak to any one of us.
When you are buying something online, the law regarding returns is different when you buy it in the shop. If you buy a product and use it for a few days you cannot return it for a full refund. We will try and work with you to get an alternative if youā€™re not happy with your purchase if you donā€™t want an alternative product we will not issue a full refund for used products. We had a situation yesterday where someone purchased a Rollator, used it for three days and expected a full refund. They had already purchased two online and sent them back and thought they could do the same with us. Once product is used, we cannot sell it as new. Thank you for your understanding. ļæ¼

Itā€™s šŸ„µ this week, if your mobility scooter stops suddenly and you have no power please check the thermal overload unit. Itā€™s normally on the battery box on portable scooters or under the seat on bigger ones. Turn everything off, push the button to reset it, if the button will not stay down wait a few minutes and try again. This can happen when itā€™s very šŸ„µ and you go up an incline.
