Apologies, one of my (Mark) long posts.
Tomorrow Sammie joins the team, that will be 5 staff plus a bookkeeper. I was made redundant by Drive Devilbiss in 2017, it was awful and the way I and my 13 staff were treated was appalling. I found another job to go to at Clearwell Mobility, that lasted 4 months and I decided to start my own business. Here we are 8 years and 3 shops later. It wasn’t easy to start but I stuck with it and it’s grown well, Brandon my engineer has been a huge part of the business for many years and I couldn’t have achieved what I have without him. And credit to Lynne who’s been here just over 2 years, I value her input so much and Nikki who started with us this year and is learning more each day. All my staff are are valued and an important part of the business. It takes a long time to learn this industry properly, I’m still learning! The picture is of some soft furnishings for the new shop, I’ll hand the more creative stuff over to the girls now 😂. I do get great advice from my partner Jo, she reigns my crazy ideas in. I I love nature and bees are so important to us.
Enough rambling, new shop will be open 1st November latest; maybe before. I’m getting the outside painted so not sure if I should open before that or not. Oh and the livery/sign is still being done.

Such a nice review from a lovely family

“I have nothing but good things to say about Mark and his colleague. I visited with them today with my dad, to get a better mobility solution for my stepmom Mum, in the form of a new wheelchair and new Walker.

They had previously bought their current wheelchair and wheelchair ramp from Mark and we’re very pleased with the service they received as Mark actually came to their home and demonstrated the chair and also fitted the ramp when they bought them.

When we went in, and my dad said that they had previously bought a chair from them, Mark remembered coming to the house and even remembered my dad‘s profession!!

I’ve worked in this industry 30 years, and no an awful lot of people and companies within it. So my dad asked me to come with them to give them advice on what they were looking at and also what they were being advised to purchase.

In effect I was not needed for this as the service and advice they were given by Mark and his colleague was 2nd to none, they look at what is best for you not what is best for their own balance, they listened to the problems that my dad was having with the wheelchair and what my dad was looking to achieve and suggested a couple of solutions, and even let my dad take them down to the car and try them in and out of the car to make sure everything went in okay.

What impressed me, whilst I was in the showroom with my parents? Was just how busy they are, in the time we were in there which was less than an hour. They must’ve had six customers come in as well as a customer outside looking at scooters who Mark chatted to on first name terms, which also provided us with more reassurance that he not only remembers his customers, but treats them as more than just a customer.

I’d have no hesitation in recommending Mark and the team to anyone. They are truly awesome

We always try to keep our prices competitive. Often the prices you see online are literally a product in a box box and you have to assemble them. This is what you get from many online sellers, when you buy from us it’s fully assembled and checked, we also apply a rust proofing wax oil to the chassis. No assembly no packaging to get rid of, charged up ready to go. You are also supporting the local economy and providing jobs for local people.

I’ve just seen this on another group. Guy is complaining about poor range but battery test came back at 138%. It’s highly unlikely that this is an accurate result. I’m not going to tell my competitors why this is wrong 😑
£70 for a service fair enough but £35 call out/delivery makes it £105.
This is where experience really matters, if you want a proper job done, Brandon will do it.

We like to do our bit to support local events. You’ll see our advert inside the front cover of the program. As a former Bonfire Society member it’s nice to support Eastbourne. As a youngster I used to go to most bonfire nights with Burgess Hill Bonfire Society dressed as an Aztec Indian.
