💃🕺 Happy Feet Dance Performance at Ashridge 🎶✨

Our residents were treated to a spectacular afternoon with the talented dancers Happy Feet, who brought the magic of Ballroom and Latin dance right to Ashridge Care Home. 🌟

The performance included a wonderful variety of styles – from the graceful Foxtrot and passionate Argentine Tango, each routine was beautifully choreographed to songs our residents recognised, including classics from musicals and famous pieces of music. 🎵

A special highlight was when our very own Peggy and Tony joined Mr. & Mrs. Happy Feet on the dance floor for a foxtrot – Peggy’s favourite dance! 💛

🌞🎶 Ashridge Family Fun Day 🎶🌞

What a wonderful day we had! 💛 Residents, families and friends all came together in our beautiful garden to enjoy the sunshine, delicious refreshments, and activities for everyone.

🎤 The atmosphere was filled with laughter, singing, and plenty of smiles as we were entertained by the amazing Jane, who performed classics from the 60s, 70s, and 80s – songs that had everyone joining in! 🎵✨

It was a truly special day celebrating friendship, family and community – with memories made to treasure 💐

🍻 A Lovely Afternoon at The Smugglers Pub ☀️

Our residents had a wonderful day out at The Smugglers Pub in Pevensey. The scenic bus journey set the tone and once there, we enjoyed relaxing in the beer garden, sipping favourite tipples or soft drinks and chatting in the sunshine!

John entertained us with stories of Pevensey’s history – from the church and old jail to his fond memories of walking around the castle. Connie had a lovely surprise when her family were waiting for her at the pub, making the day even more special.

Many residents took a trip down memory lane, reminiscing about days spent at their local with friends and family. A truly memorable day filled with fresh air, friendship, and smiles! 😃

Every other Tuesday, our lovely ladies enjoy a relaxing pamper session with our wonderful hairdresser Liz in the Ashridge Hair Salon.

From a wash & set, stylish new do, a bouncy perm, or a fresh colour – our ladies leave feeling refreshed, confident, and ready to take on the day! 💖

Our gentlemen aren’t left out either – they enjoy their own wellbeing session with Liz, including a wash & cut, beard trim, or even a clean, smooth shave 🪒💆‍♂️

Because at Ashridge Court, feeling your best is just as important as looking your best! 💕

🌞 Fun in the Sun at Ashridge Care Home! 🌞

We had a brilliant afternoon in the garden with Rockin’ Mike, who wowed us in his teddy suit and quiff hairstyle with 50s & 60s classics from Elvis, Dean Martin, Marty Wilde, The Everly Brothers, Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino, and more! 🎤✨

There was dancing, with residents showing off their moves doing The Twist, and even a fun attempt at the famous yodel song although it turned out we had no natural-born yodellers among staff or residents… but we all gave it our best shot and had a great laugh! 🎶😂

Our residents had a brilliant time and can’t wait to welcome Rockin’ Mike back again! 💃🕺🎵

Today, we celebrate these fascinating, misunderstood creatures that play a vital role in our ecosystems. Did you know there are over 3,000 species of snakes worldwide, ranging from the tiny Barbados threadsnake (just 10 cm long) to the giant reticulated python, which can grow over 30 feet? 😲

Snakes help control pests, maintain balance in food chains, and some even provide life-saving venom used in medicines. Let’s take a moment to appreciate their importance and beauty (even if they give some of us the chills)! 🌿
