A snippet from our week at Heatherdene, we have been busy with poppy activities and our much loved visit from Sam and Angus. We did pause to pay our respects and remember the sacrifices of others.

Today is our Uniqueness Day and we have had a lot of fun preparing for this. We have loved learning so much about each other. Some things we have discovered are resident Pam has climbed many mountains, Keith used to have an owl, David was an electrician, Nancy lived in Hong Kong, Angeline loves to dance, Sheila taught her budgie to talk and Margaret used to be a window dresser and won awards for them. Staff member Tara is a qualified archery teacher, Beena was a hockey player, Pristy is a dentist, Harriet loves cars, Solji has a Masters degree in biomedical science, Shelja loves photography and Tina M is mad about cats. Family members told us they like sea swimming, are a season ticket holder for Arsenal, love to make wooden musical instruments and can do a headstand!! Stay tuned to see more......❤😀🤩🥳

We have been lucky enough to have some visits from the children of Saxon Mount School. Our residents loved playing games, engaging in crafts and enjoying the company and laughter with the children.
These moments remind us of how powerful connection across generations can be. 😀❤👍🥰🤣🤩🥳

Our residents got Autumnal yesterday with some pumpkin painting and decorating. A rainy morning well spent!

Come and join in the fun for our Unique Day on Friday 24th October from 11am. There will be a fashion show, music, dancing, drinks and a buffet lunch.
We will be celebrating the uniqueness of all our fabulous residents, staff, family members, friends and community visitors.
