🌞 HEATWAVE ALERT – KEEPING OUR LOVED ONES & CARERS SAFE 🌞

With high temperatures expected, it’s important to keep our elderly loved ones safe – and to look after those who care for them too.

Here are some simple ways to stay safe in the heat:
💧 Drink plenty of water – even if you’re not thirsty
🏡 Stay indoors between 11am–3pm and keep curtains closed
🧢 Wear loose, light clothing and use a fan if possible
🥗 Eat lighter, cooler meals and avoid too much tea or coffee
🚿 Cool down with a flannel or lukewarm shower

Please check in on older friends, neighbours or family – a quick call or visit can make all the difference.

And remember – our carers' safety matters too. They’ll be working with extra care in this heat, so a little patience and kindness goes a long way 💙
