Love Hypnobirthing

Love Hypnobirthing I provide friendly & inclusive Hypnobirthing & Pregnancy Relaxation based in Sussex. I’m a mum of two hypnobirthed babies, one now five and the other 3.

(Also via zoom!) Hypnobirthing totally changed the way I approached both my births & my passion is to support you in facilitating the best birth for you & your family. My career started off working in Primary Schools but once I used hypnobirthing I decided to retrain after my first baby. Hypnobirthing totally changed the way I approached birth and I so enjoyed it that I want to share it with as ma

ny mums as possible. I trained in London under Katherine Graves on her course accredited by the royal collage of midwives.

Can you see that bony part at her lower back? It’s called the Rhombus of Michaelis.

The caption below sums it up beautifully, especially noting that it is *the woman’s body actively bringing baby down*.

As in, our bodies ALREADY know what to do! 😁

It is also another way a midwife can see how far along you are without vaginal examinations.

So definitely worth knowing about!

・・・
"The Rhombus of Michaelis… the normal part of physiological second stage- when you see the bony structure move backwards with an increase in the diameter of the pelvis, her body works to give maximum space to baby. The momentary glimpse of what is to come, birth is close, and her body is actively working to bring her baby down and out."⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Doula in this image kindly quoted this and linked me to a great article explaining the triangular bump on the Mom's lower back! https://birthworks.org/the-rhombus-of-michaelis/

I have a few spaces available to join a lovely weekly space for you and your baby!

I love this weekly space and am always so pleased it runs. 🥰
It was a dream of mine to be able to hold a regular session for people wanting to practice their breathing skills, learn some tools and gain some knowledge along the way.

There was nothing like this when I was pregnant so I love being able to provide it now!

Both continuity and community rolled into one!

If you would like to join or read some reviews then head over to my website and take a peruse! Alternatively just pop me a dm! 😊

Birth isn’t a quick event.

It is not supposed to be.

One of the Modern systems' changes in how birth is viewed is that it should be done in a certain amount of time.

As soon as you step into a hospital or birth centre you are on the clock.

But birth takes TIME! And generally, the more you are disturbed the more time it will take.

So, forget the clock, settle in and expect it to take some time.
There is no rush.

Have you got something to help pass the time in your arsenal?
Be it something light-hearted to watch at the beginning, audio relaxations to help you zone in, massage techniques you partner can use, food to keep your energy up?

How do you see your birth unfolding, or how it did for you?
Was it quick or was it loooog?!

And remember, long isn’t bad if you have the right tools to help support you throughout.

Where do you put your affirmations cards?!

A great way to keep seeing and taking them in is to move them around!

SO, if you have a partner, ask them to swap them about for you!
And if you don’t have a partner you can still do it for yourself, or even ask a friend!

I worked hard to create this lovely set that not only feels gorgeous but will help start getting your mind on side too. They are available on and can be delivered out directly should they be for a friend or loved one who you cant see in person!

☀️ Each set ordered comes with a 10% off for weekly classes or hypnobirthing courses...so an extra gift for either you or that lucky someone! ☀️

How did you introduce new members to your family?

A beautiful shot by ✨

It can be such a worry or unknown as to how siblings can react to both birth and new babies!

But the more we share, talk and normalise birth and new additions the more the next generation will gain 🥰

How did your introductions go? Any tips for others out there?!

Do you need a space for you and this pregnancy?

Somewhere you can finally get around to thinking about birth?

Somewhere you can ask questions and hear un biased, evidenced based info?

Are you looking for continuity...somewhere where people know you and your story?

Then join me and some other lovely pregnant peeps on their journey every Wednesday at 7pm.
Dm me or head to my website to hear more.
I am an open space who loves to talk all things birth!

Ps. I keep this class online as it allows people to join no matter where they are and not only that...it's usually from the comfort of their own bed or birthing ball! Another bonus...if you have other children about...no childcare issues. They are either welcome to join or are in bed!

Vernix….have you heard of it before? Or did your baby have any?

Check out this inquisitive baby in a photo by .thebirthlens!

Vernix is what protects your baby’s skin in the womb, it’s what stops them from coming out all pruney!

👉 It also has amazing benefits to the skin when left on after birth 👈

It is white ish, thick and moisturises their skin, it also has anti-microbial properties. This is why it’s recommended not to wash your baby in the first few days, and to only use warm water in the first couple of weeks.

It is both normal for your baby to be born with or without vernix. And if they are, all you need do is let it soak in over time or give it a gentle rub, your baby will thank you for it! 🥰

Feel free to let me know in the comments if your baby had any vernix…neither of mine did!

I was talking with lots of lovely parents at the weekend and sadly the majority feeling was that their birth hadn’t been as they had hoped or expected.

A hypnobirthing course can actually become a really important space to share and process your previous birth.

We work on ways of supporting yourself and your partner (if you have one) through pregnancy and give you both tools to use as and when you need.

Having a bit of knowledge can be such a game changer when going to appointments and preparing for birth. I haven’t met anyone yet who has regretted doing hypnobirthing!

I only have a few spaces left for this year so if you would like a safe space to share, feel heard and grow into a confident parent then get in touch, for my website with lots more info and course dates, Hannah 💛

Staying mobile and moving around is crucial to birth and keeping both you and your baby as comfortable as possible.

This photo by is a fab visual 😍

Your baby moves down through your birth canal…so staying active and listening to your body, even if it feels strange, is the best thing you can do!

If you can, move the bed aside and just go with it!!

Were you mobile during birth? Did you find it helpful?
It is something we chat about a lot in both Pregnancy Relaxation and on my Hypnobirthing Courses, so head over to the website to book on or find out more
