What a busy week we’ve had!

We’ve enjoyed lots of arts and crafts, welcomed our lovely PAT dogs for some heart-warming visits – always a highlight of the week!

Gemma Clare - vocalist our fabulous singer, had everyone smiling, singing along, and tapping their feet. We also had a fantastic time visiting the Dementia Friends Bexhill tea and dance. Clive visited and we enjoyed a quizz, games, and wonderful company. We popped in to Marks and Spencer for quick peruse and filled our time with games , puzzles quizzes and singalongs!!

Phew… what a week! 😮‍💨 We’re already looking forward to the next one!

There really is something special about a little shopping trip followed by coffee and chats. It’s not even about what you buy — it’s the wandering around, the “try this on!”, the shared opinions, the random finds you didn’t plan for

And then sitting down with your drinks, laughing about everything and nothing… the inside jokes that no one else would understand. Those moments just recharge your heart in the best way.

We had the most wonderful two days celebrating and learning more about Chinese customs and culture. Yesterday, we enjoyed painting Chinese logographics, we filled our red envelopes with heartfelt wishes and coins to share with others, and finished our celebrations with a delicious feast prepared by our fabulous chef, Stuart…. And ended with a fortune cookie!

We started our Chinese New Year celebrations with Creative Minds East Sussex, creating beautiful horse art to welcome the Year of the Horse 🐎✨

Representing movement, independence, and endurance, this special year has inspired lots of exciting activities as we learn about traditions, culture, and customs over the coming days.

🥞 We had the BEST Pancake Day! 🥞

Jonah our chef treated us to both delicious crêpes and fluffy American pancakes! We also set up a full pancake bar with all sorts of tasty toppings so everyone could create their own masterpiece.

Safe to say we ate very well and had the most delicious day! 👨‍🍳💛

Valentine’s Weekend Roundup ❤️

We loved spending the day celebrating love in so many meaningful ways! From making traditional Welsh love spoons to decorating the cookies we baked on Friday, there was creativity and care in everything we did.

We also took time to share conversations about what makes us happy and what love means to us — such a special way to connect with one another.

To finish, we enjoyed our very own Valentine’s Day lunch, making the day feel even more memorable!

We’ve been celebrating all week as we prepared for Valentine’s Day! 💕

Our Flower Club carefully crafted stunning bouquets to decorate the tables, filling the room with color and charm. Meanwhile, our Baking Club whipped up the most delicious homemade cookies — baked with plenty of love (and maybe a little extra sugar!).

In the kitchen, our talented chefs have been hard at work preparing a special Valentine’s menu that we can’t wait to share.

And as an extra sweet surprise, Dave the dog came by for some extra love and cuddles — bringing smiles to everyone’s faces! 🐾

Love has truly been in the air all week!!

Yesterday we saw a little ray of sunshine so we dropped everything and headed out for some fresh air and a seafront walk 🌤️🌊 A lovely walk and a visit to the coffee shop reset all our spirits.. roll on spring
