Our Care Manager, **Ms. Ton‑Jayne (Toni)**, has officially been **registered by the Care Quality Commission (CQC)** — a milestone that reflects her dedication, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to high‑quality care. ✅💙

Toni joined St Nectans in **July 2025**, and from her very first day she has worked tirelessly and collaboratively with our staff team, residents, families, and healthcare professionals. Last week our home has been full of beautiful moments 💜

We enjoyed a wonderful reminiscence session exploring my ancestors’ memory boxes. There were so many stories shared, memories sparked, and lovely conversations as everyone looked through old photographs, scrapbooks, a vintage toy car set, football programmes, rationing booklets, even old coins including the farthing and so many more treasured keepsakes. It’s amazing how a single picture can open up a lifetime of memories.

We also treated ourselves to some relaxing manicures 💅, had some friendly (and competitive!) games of Scrabble, and held our monthly sensory and gratitude session — taking time to reflect, connect and appreciate the little things.

It’s been a week filled with smiles, storytelling, laughter and togetherness✨

Last week was filled with meaningful moments as everyone enjoyed writing their New Year’s resolutions, taking part in a calming sensory gratitude session, and getting creative with some colourful bunting making.
We also throughly enjoyed watching the fireworks, sharing smiles, and reflecting on the year ahead ✨

We’ve been getting into the Christmas spirit with lots of creativity, laughter, and togetherness. From decorating the home with beautiful trees and handmade crafts to enjoying colouring, card-making, party hats, and a little pampering — our residents have been having a wonderful time. 🎄
