👇 5 IMPORTANT REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD SEE AN OSTEOPATH 👇

1. Pain Relief Without Pills
Access to pain-relief medications is something that we can take for granted. We’re not saying that painkillers don’t have their place, but they are often used to mask symptoms or used long-term which is not advisable. Osteopathy will help get to the root cause of your pain and can ease or in many cases cure it.

2. Posture
Every day life is tough on our postures, often with excess periods of sitting down at desks or in cars and lack of exercise for many, leading to increasingly excess connective tissues being restricted in movement with bones taking the strain due to lack of the postural muscles.
Osteopathy helps improve posture, leading to better all-round health.

3. Prevention
Many of us don’t think twice about taking our car for a service to help prevent problems from surfacing and nipping any small problems in the bud before they become costly or irreversible. Yet we don’t always do the same for our bodies!
Regular osteopathy treatments mean that any problems can be identified quickly and often sorted out before they even begin to cause you pain or knock-on effects in other parts of your body. The regular release of tension that you hold in your muscles not only helps your body but your mind too, improving overall function and wellness.

4. Post Injury
Osteopathic treatment can help speed recovery from injury and limit further complications from the pressures and strains placed on other parts of the body while the injury heals. Gentle massage, manipulation and counterstrain techniques among other methods will improve circulation leading to faster healing, and relief from pain and associated muscle tension. Cranial osteopathy can also help to heal body trauma from old injuries.

5. Pregnancy
Your body goes through a huge number of changes in a short space of time when pregnant. Aches and pains are common as extra pressure is put on joints through weight gain and ligaments loosening due to the pregnancy hormone relaxin which can cause muscle pain and spasms. Osteopathy is an effective and safe treatment that can help alleviate discomfort throughout pregnancy. 💚

Our relaxed treatment rooms here at Nature’s Health Hub provide the perfect environment for your first visit to one of our practitioners.

A common question we often get asked is “Do I need to visit my GP before I see an osteopath?” 👇

The answer is no, you don’t! Although GPs can refer you on to an osteopath, you can self refer yourself for treatment by simply calling our practice and booking yourself in for an appointment, even if you aren’t sure what your problem is. As recognised and allied healthcare practitioners, we are trained to diagnose and treat a variety of conditions which may present themselves as niggles, aches, strains or pains.

This is why before your osteopath begins any treatment, they will sit down with you and take a full, in depth case history as well as including some initial assessments.

If your practitioner feels you need a further referral to assist with getting your full health back, you can be rest assured that this will all be taken care of!

Got any further questions or worries about booking in for an initial consultation? Please drop us a message so that we can answer any of your queries 💚
